Wink

I'm sure if Princess Charlotte went to a North American uni and rushed she wouldn't have any problems. Can you imagine having Meghan, Duchess of So and So write your rec? Are there any other Panhel women in royal families or peerage?

I know that Prince Albert of Monaco joined a fraternity but has anyone heard of a princess from a reigning or non-reigning house that has joined a GLO?

The British and their technicalities. When they marry, she could go by the title Princess Henry of Wales (see Princess Michael of Kent), but being given a title is more prestigious. Hence Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.

Legacies

Tri Sigma's policy on legacies is :

"Tri Sigma defines a legacy as a sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece, step-daughter, or step- mother of a Sigma Sigma Sigma."

Thought you'd appreciate this video of Meghan's reaction when she saw a group of Kappas from the London alumnae association in the crowd singing "Oh Pat" to her. : )

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, now has her own coat of arms!! I see several KKG fleur-de-lis on it, but sadly, no keys.

No, but she took ideas from her background, home state and activism...here's a clip from a local NYC newspaper that outlined what the various colors and symbols mean - I think it's pretty neat!

From the NY POST:

“Her Royal Highness worked closely with the College of Arms throughout the design process to create a Coat of Arms that was both personal and representative,” the palace said about the LA native.

“The blue background of the shield represents the Pacific Ocean off the California coast, while the two golden rays across the shield are symbolic of the sunshine of The Duchess’s home state,” it added.

“The three quills represent communication and the power of words.”

Markle, a self-described feminist and former actress, chose to emblazon her coat of arms with a songbird, “with wings elevated as if flying and an open beak, which with the quill represents the power of communication.”

On the opposite side of the bird stands a lion that reperesents Harry.

Under the shield on the grass lies a collection of golden poppies – California’s state flower – and wintersweet, which grows at Kensington Palace.

Crown Princess Martha of Norway and her lady-in-waiting, Countess Ragni*Ostgaard, were alumna initiates of Delta Zeta.

Is it a coincidence that the Harry & Meghan cypher is this color of blue?

Royal blue, no less, with fleurs-de-lis on the crown, too!

I’m a Kappa, and I believe that the blue and Fleurs-de-Lis are strictly coincidental. Both show up in the cyphers of several other royal couples.
