Meaning of my name
My name is Reincarnated TailDog because our chapter used to be on the yard from 1979-1992, they got kicked of the yard for hazing now we are the line that is redoing what the first charted line did so we are the reincarnation of the first charted line and since I'm the Tail I'm the "Reincarnated TailDog"!!!!!!!!!

Gotcha. Didn't know if you were the only one with Reincarnated in the Nickname or not.
As a point of curiousity, how well documented is the hazing incident that got Omega Phi kicked off the Yard?
The reason that I mentioned Dr. Zubkowski is that his CV ( http://ccaix.jsums.edu/~jzubkows/) lists him as a brother of the fraternity.

You might want to ask Neal Farmer, Former Region VII Director. He has a pretty good understanding of the incident and probabaly has/had the documentation you are seeking.
From what I was told, among other things, one of the incidents involved a pledge being placed in a metal dumpster while a gun was being fired. My recollection is kinda sketchy, but the gun blast affected his hearing to the point that he was disqualified from applying for a position with the FBI that he was seeking.

OK, thanx.
Not a fun thing to do. There is nothing in the risk management banning Guns, but it does talk about Ear Plugs for appropriate activities. (and even so putting a pledge in a dumpster isn't even close to an appropriate activity, of course)
If chapter members trained to help include the shooting sports Merit Badges in a Merit Badge University, then I don't see a problem with that though. My alma mater had a shooting range in a basement used by Army ROTC. My chapter used it for parties, large concrete floor, *very* little you could damage...
My general rule on Hazing is run pledging so that if at any time the school president and the editor of the school newspaper walk in, you're still cool.

Congrats Omega Psi, I hope we can now kick it at the TSU vs. JSU Game in Memphis and show them how we do it.

I know an Omega Psi brother who pledged back in the 80's and he was very happy to hear that his old chapter was returning. Matter of fact, he knew about you all before I told him.
Congrats again!
