I don't know that we, as a sisterhood, have a whole lot of wedding traditions. If I remember correctly, only one of our Founder's went on to get married and have children. I'm not sure if you know much of the history, but many of the traditions started in the early days are ones we still use now and since only one of them got married....
Of course, when SAIs meet SAIs eat! Of course, always have sisters in attendance sing you the chorale. And, a chapter sister of mine is getting married this summer and there is a song called "Sweetheart of
SAI" That I want us to learn so we can sing it to the groom.
And, girl, they are your badges--wear them however you want!
I'm going to put laurel wreath on each table, too.
And of course, the white dress is all over some SAI.
If you know the ritual well, incorporate some aspects of that--that no one would suspect. (ie-red roses, white roses, # of ppl at a table) not like say the pledge or anything.
Are you a vocalist?
