My friend was going to do something similar to that, and have varying shades of blue and green for her bridesmaids. It got too complicated though (she would've had to organize the colors based on our heights), so she's just sticking with one shade (seafoam, which I usually hate, but this dress looks so pretty that I don't mind wearing it!).

This is the dress:

and this is the seafoam color:

Our oldest AOII daughter carried red roses as well, and that's what the boys wore too. I wish I could post a picture of her bouquet--it was red roses and berries and greenery (this was a Christmas wedding)--but the computer won't let me. The bridesmaids had red roses, fragrant white lilies, red berries, and silver Christmas balls. The little girls had kissing balls covered with white hydrangea petals with silver balls at the bottom a a silver chain.

Hypericum berries, because they come in all colors, and kissing balls seem to be used a lot around here for bouquets these days.

When are you getting married and what color are you bridesmaid dresses?

I used peach and red roses with white orchids. Red is my favorite color (and it photographs beautifully), and I love orchids. The peach was a great accent color for summer.

Also, keep in mind the timing of your wedding. Certain flowers are better and more available at certain times of the year. Of course if price is no object, do whatever the heck you want. But your florist can advise you on that.

LOL - but how can Hello Kitty throw up without a mouth? Out of her ears?

That sounds lovely, if you have enough bridesmaids.

Back to bichonl: one of the most stunning weddings I was ever at was a December wedding. The church was already decorated for Christmas, and the bridesmaids wore a deep forest green. They carried bouquets of stargazer lilies with white freesia (i think), and long pink ribbons. With the church's pink and white poinsettias and swags of greenery, it was beautiful!

at a christmas wedding that i attended, the bridesmaids wore dark green velvet floor length dresses and carried a hurricane lantern which contained a lit candle. the lantern was mounted on a base which was hidden with greenery(i think small leafed ivy) and gold ribbon was woven into the greenery. it was stunning.

i carried a bouquet of white calla lilies which was arranged in an asymetrical, half moon style-very modern looking. it was lovely. my bridesmaids wore floor length gowns of lavender moire taffeta(at the time i thought they were lovely, but i shudder when i look at them now!) and carried nosegays of assorted pink, lavender, purple and white flowers. we were married in june-husbands choice-i would have preferred the fall.

My colors are light green and bright pink, and I'm using pink, orange and yellow gerber daisies. My girls are just carrying 4 daisies tied with a ribbon, and my bouquet is similar but bigger.

My wedding colors will be whatever Elvis is wearing when we show up at the chapel in Vegas.

Thanks everyone!

I would like a winter wedding- ideally January or early February. We are Catholic, so we might not be able to marry during Advent (December) or Lent (starts in Feb usually). Winter is slowly becoming my favorite season.

I'm thinking I'd like dark, non-vomit-inducing, pink bridemaid dresses.
