I'll see if I can make sense of it for you (you may also want to refer to the Quota additions thread in the Recruitment forum or to the "green book" for additional help).
We had 50 women sign bid cards. There are three organizations. If Quota is 16, then there are 2 women "left over" (50/3=16. with 2 remainder). The two "extra" women were then placed with a chapter with whom they matched who they listed on their bid cards and who had them on their bid list, providing they did not SIP. Apparently, that was us!!!
We turned in 2 bid lists: 1st list had the first 16 women in alphabetical order. The second list had another 16 women ranked. Everyone who we invited to Preference was on one of our two lists, excluding women who dropped out of Recruitment. This *could* mean that our second bid list had 20 women on it. It can be longer (or shorter) than the first. A chapter will receive women with whom they matched, beginning with those on the first list, then continuing through the second list until we reach 16. At that point we wait until everyone else has reached Quota, or until it becomes obvious that they won't- no matter how many times we go through the cards, then unmatched women become eligible for Quota additions (as long as they did not SIP).
Women who dropped out of Recruitment at any point, and women we invited back but who did not attend our party, are eligible for snap bidding. Snap bidding would be used for us to reach Quota.
If I have this wrong, or have made it even more unclear, someone please jumo in and help!!
I am also glad to say that every woman who signed a bid card received a bid!!! There are 50 fabulous new members in our Greek system!!!
