I did direct one of my questions their way. I asked greek life if I participated in formal recruitment, and didn't find a sorority that I clicked with, if I would be allowed to withdraw from recruitment to pursue a bid from the colony. The answer was yes.

I joined a colony!!

If you have this opportunity- go for it! I just rushed a colony at the University of Cincinnati. Being a founding member of a chapter is amazing! I hope all goes well :]
