I would have taken a look at SGRho if I hadn't pledged Delta. But I can honestly say, I can't imagine it being any better than being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!

Well, because of where I went to school for undergrad, there were only two choices, AKA and DST. Oh, we had Kappa Sweethearts, too. I had no desire to join a sorority before I went to school, since I didn't know much about them. I was not attracted to the Delta's on my campus, simply not impressed. And until I found out it would ruin my chances at AKA, I was thinking about pledging K-Sweet. So the truth of the matter is that if AKA didn't exist, I probably would've been a K-Sweet.
Thank you, Ethel, sincerely.

In answer to your question, it has a lot to do with it, to me. When I went to college, I didn't know too much about Greek life, so what I saw on my campus was almost all I knew. Then I thought back to people I'd seen in my community and teachers in high school and then also family members. All I knew was AKA and DST, because those were the ones that were visible and that stood out. I had never even HEARD of ZPB or SGRho until after I'd fallen in love with AKA.

My answer was honest. With where I went to school I wouldn't have joined the other organizations. Now that I am in a BGLO and know the great works of all. If I had been at another campus it could have been any of the other three.

Like some of you have responded, if my organization wasn't founded, I wouldn't...Well, I could've said the same thing; but I thought the question to be a good, thought-provoking question. You wont lose love if you acknowlege the possibility of being a member of another organization, so why not answer it? All of them are worthy of respect, don't you agree?

I did answer the question.

Why is that HARD to believe?
My answer is: AKA or NO WAY! So, If AKA didn't exist, then I would not be a member of an organization...(I didn't have 2nd, 3rd or 4th choices "coming up")
TOA (only), did I answer the question to your liking? If not, too bad!

I understand now MidWest Diva, which was confusing at first. You're not asking "If the organization you have joined wasn't available on your campus, what would have been your next choice?" You're asking "if only ABC, DEF, GHI sororities/fraternities had ever existed, which one would you have been interested in?" It's not a matter of dissing your own, because your own, in its present form, would not exist is this hypothetical.
As such, if Zeta Phi Beta had never been created, and I didn't have the foresight to create Her, I would have probably been interested, based on what I know now, to SGRho. Based upon my particular university, AKA. AND, LOL, based upon to whom I owed the most allegiance from scholarships and because of church family, DST!

an ALPHAMAN is born, not made, not recruited, not an interest to be later developed. besides, without ALPHA there would be nothing else to even consider..."RESPECT YOUR ROOTS"

I too find it hard to believe that someone who is drawn to the ideals of sisterhood/brotherhood, scholarship and community service would not be at all interested in joining an organization if there were only 3 sororities and 4 fraternities to choose from. Especially since so many people could imagine which organization they would be interested in if they were of the opposite sex. But if you all say so.......
I would like to thank those of you that actually gave the question some real thought, and gave props to an organization other than your own. That was the real purpose of my question.
