Having posted a really long list the first time this question was asked on another thread, I'll just do this very short list:
Three Superbowl Winning Quarterbacks and MVP's
John Elway, Denver Broncos; Mark Riepen, Washington Redskins; and Jim Plunkett, whereever the Raiders were that year.
David Schwimmer from Friends, Matthew McCongnehey (sp?), Drew Carey and Will Ferrell from SNL are Delts.
You can see the whole list at http://www.delts.org./info/alumni.shtml

Dang....
...you beat me to it! I wanted to say "HOW COULD ANYONE FORGET THE *CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED* DYING TO BELONG?" --- heeheehee -- you know that that was based on a real life, truth be told, absolute genuine false story??
What's next - the Texas V'Billies? Oh, I forgot...I already did that one -- but it sounds like a LOT of others *DID* that one too....LOL

Since someone already posted all of the Deephers. Here are some that I remember the guys from the fraternities being super proud about.
Mike Ditka is a sigma chi from University of Pittsburgh along with a bunch of other people from their chapter.
Kevin McClatchey who has something to do with the Pittsburgh Pirates is an SAE alum as well.

Killarney Rose,
I know for sure that Lisa Ling wasn't Greek. She's very public about the fact that she wasn't very involved in campus life at USC.

To put a long story short... Find out who the CEO of your favorite company is, and if it is a he, then he is probably a Lambda Chi or atleast related to one.

I've heard that too but I read an interview she did and she said that her brother had gone to college and she had always wished that she had gone too. So, I guess that means she's not a ZTA. I'm wondering....how do some of these rumors start?

A lot of celebrities are initiated as alumni, regardless of whether or not they attended/graduated college. So, it's very possible that some people whose biographies list no college experience could still be a member of a GLO.

Dave Thomas, like many others, was initiated as an honorary. He was very active with a SigEp chapter, though he was not an undergraduate.

I already went on in the other thread about famous Kappas, and I even manage now to remember which newscaster (Jane Pauley) was a Kappa...I always get them confused. But other famous Greek people of interest to me:
Toni Morrison, one of the best writers on the whole planet is an Alpha Kappa Alpha
The head of the Girl Scouts of America...forgive me but I can't think of her name, is a Kappa Delta AND a graduate of Lawrence University (see the link in my signature)...
Lawrence also boasts one of Delta Gamma's very prominent initiates: George Banta, their only male initiate and a member of a family that owns half of Appleton, Wisconsin (the other half is owned by Boldt Construction ).
Maud Hart Lovelace, who wrote the very sweet Betsy-Tacy books, which were never on the shelf at my old library, is a Gamma Phi Beta
My best guy friends, all Phi Kappa Taus, never let me forget about Paul Newman

Actually, we just had Dr. Suess Day at my university due to Mrs. Geisel's(Dr. Suess' wife) major contributions to our campus. Our campus' central landmark library is named after the Geisel family. This would be the most feautured item on all university post cards and souveneirs.
Now, there's an interesting fact about my university.
About my chapter...
Pi Beta Phi was the first to go national, the first to create a national philanthropy, one of the seven founding groups of the NPC, the first to organize an Alumnae department for post collegians, and the first to establish an AAC (Alumnae Advisory Committee) for each collegiate chapter.
Pi Beta Phi
The first all women national fraternity, 1867

Sorry that I have to correct you. Pi Beta Phi might've been the first for all of those, but Alpha Delta Pi (I hope I got that right) was the first all women's fraternity in 1852, and a few months later Phi Mu Fraternity was formed on March 4.
Also, the facts about your chapter are interesting, but this thread is about "famous greeks....or are they?"

Pi Beta Phi was the first NATIONAL sorority. Meaning Pi Phi was the first current NPC chapter to go national, establishing another chapter at another school.
And my apologies for not being on topic. I believe I had this thread mixed up with the "interesting facts" thread when I responded. I'll try to switch my post to that thread.

Faye Dunaway
Susan Lucci
Grace Coolidge (thanks to her, pi phi is the ONLY sorority in the smithsonian... check her dress in hall of inauguration gowns and you will see the wonderful pi phi badge)
Mrs. Parker (check parker pens for the arrow!)
Mrs. Wrigley (the gum package has what on it? yeah, that would be an arrow!)
Elizabeth Shue
Tracy Ruiz (gold medal swimmer)
Marilyn Horne (opera singer)
NOTE: some of the confusion about delta burke could be because of the fact that Suzanne Sugarbaker (her character on designing women) was a pi phi on the show
ok... enough about the pi phis... for now at least

Hello!
I was just browsing the internet when I came across a website called Turn for the Judges (it's about beauty pageants). This article caught my eye - the winner attends my alma mater...and she's a DZ!
----
Tess Proano, 20, attending California State University, Long Beach, studying business and a
VIP tour Guide at Disneyland, won the Miss Los Angeles County USA competition. A 2000 Graduate from Long Beach Millikan School, Tess now attends California State University, Long Beach studying Business. She is Vice President of her Sorority, Delta Zeta. She is currently working as a Tour Guide at Disneyland.
She enjoys watching and performing in musical theater. Tess loves to sing and was Long Beach Singer Of The Year. She also enjoys listening to music, reading, dancing and her cat. Tess wants to champion awareness of the importants of empowering our youth through philanthropy. She speaks to schools about staying active in extra curricular activities, youth organizations, and sports.
The first runner-up was Nafeesa De Florias; second runner-up was Lauren Supernaw; third runner up was Cynthia Magsombol; and fourth runner-up was Nicole Tyson. The Miss Photogenic award went to Melinda Cross, while Miss Congeniality was Tess Proano. The
Jennifer Ends Spirit Award went to Nafessa De Florias and the Stephanie Smith Service Award went to Lauren Moniz.

Famous Greeks
Actually, the story I hear about Delta Burke was, it wasn't Delta herself that was a greek, it was her character on Designing women. She played Suzanne Sugarbaker (sp?) and I believe it wsa Suzanne who was a Pi Phi.
