Finally some AI news!!

Hey all! Just got back from the latest Gryffindor event - a fall picnic. There were lots of members there and I got to meet some people that I had not met before. It was very casual and lots of fun. I was introduced once more as a potential AI. The ladies are all so nice and I chatted with several who were very easy to talk to.

On a side note, my official paperwork may have gone astray, so I am going to have my sponsor send another copy of the whole thing to the membership vp ASAP. The SMU chapter has taken 12 new members in fall informal, and can rush for 2 more weeks. If we can get this show on the road, I still may be able to be initiated with the fall group.

that is great!! i am glad that you had fun. i hope they find your paperwork. maybe one of the things that we should be sure to tell pnams is that they should photocopy their "packet" before they send it...just in case.

That's a wonderful idea! Thankfully, my sponsor was an executive secretary for years and automatically kept an extra copy. I talked to her today and she is going to send another copy of the whole works to the membership vp.

I'm glad it was just a paperwork screw-up and not that they are having a hard time deciding if they want me or not.

that I know right here in town!! I was reading my Woman's Club of Fort Worth newsletter and there was a profile of one of the officers. She is someone I was in a section with in the Junior Woman's Club and was later president of JWC. One note on her very busy life is that she is an alum. and Panhellenic Representative for..... GRYFFINDOR!! I just hollered!! I had no idea! So I'm thinkin' I just give her a call and let her know what's going on!!

No news, just hanging around until Oct. 25. This waiting is tedious!!!

but what is the significance of Oct 25th again

I personally think you should confide in your new-found Gryffyndor friend about how badly you want this and that you SURE hope you can get initiated with the SMU pledges -- gotta keep pushing so the waiting can be ended! We are with you all the way!!

PS - I don't know what October 25th is either! Maybe it's the day Gryffindor has a Nat HQ meeting to approve her AI application? Maybe it's the collegiate initiation?? I dunno!

So Tinydancer -- what is the status of your paperwork? Doesn't that need to be sent in to the GLO Hqtrs or wherever ASAP to allow sufficient training time prior to that hoped for initiation date (when is that by the way?)
