And what happened to the two that presented at University of Arkansas? Did they withdraw or was it not a good fit? I have never seen that happen.

From Irishpipes initial post, how many in the top 25 and honorable mentions have expanded?
I think many from that list added sororities.
Maybe we should start a new list and get the ball rolling again!

Now I'm remembering that the issue was dropped. I'm not sure if they declined an offer or an offer was not given. Having absolutely nothing to do with the school, I would guess housing was the hiccup. They better have a housing plan as part of the proposal or it's going to be a non-starter. And if the school isn't ponying up space a sorority is not going to be able to get it done. At least that's what I've gathered from here. And why I'm asking if there has been a change in what's been going on on the ground in real life.

2. University of Arizona 12 NPCs, Total 293, 2015 Quota 103. Yes, Alpha Chi Omega just recolonized, but let's be honest, that's a drop in the bucket.
3. University of Arkansas 10 NPCs, 2015 Quota varied. Despite 2 recent colonizations, this school needs more than 10 NPCs.
4. Louisiana State University 11 NPCs, 2014 Quota 100. Alpha Phi's current recolonization won't do enough to diminish the need for further expansion.
5. University of North Florida 5 NPCs, 2014 Quota 73?
6. University of Oklahoma 11 NPCs, Total 263, 2013 Quota 81
7. Florida International University 7 NPCs, 2014 Quota 73
8. Cal State Fullerton 6 NPCs, 2014 Quota 71
9. University of Colorado 9 NPCs, Total 235, 2014 Quota 80
10. Baylor University 8 NPCs, 2015 Quota 78+6=84
11. Colgate University 3 NPCs, 2013 Quota 65
12. Florida Gulf Coast University 5 NPCs, Total 180, 2014 Quota 65
13. Belmont University 4 NPCs, 2014 Quota 72
14. Texas State University 7 NPCs, 2014 Quota 75
15. University of Kentucky 13 NPCs, Total 249, 2015 Quota 90
16. University of Delaware 11 NPCs, Total 208, 2015 Quota 90
17. University of Missouri 15 NPCs, Total 315, 2015 Quota 83
18. University of Minnesota - Duluth 1 NPC, 2013-2014 New members = 71
19. Cal State San Marcos 3 NPCs, 2014 Quota 59
20. Samford University 5 NPCs, 2014 Quota 67
21. Troy University 5 NPCs, 2015 Quota 62+8=70
22. Texas Tech University 11 NPCs, Total 247, 2015 Quota 77
23. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 9 NPCs, Total 230, 2014 Quota 81
24. University of Texas 14 NPCs, Total 247, 2015 Quota 48+13=61
25. University of Florida 16 NPCs, 2015 Quota 65+17=82

Honorable Mentions:
Auburn
Northern Arizona
Central Arkansas
San Diego State
Yale
University of Georgia
North Georgia
Tarleton State
Texas A&M
Virginia Tech (although Kappa Alpha Theta is scheduled to recolonize at a date TBA)
I bolded all the groups for which an official colonization has been announced, and underlined the ones where the school has been open for expansion but presentations haven't been announced or made yet or nothing came of the presentation.

Bringing this back up to agree that we should make a new list. I don't think UT-Austin should be on it anymore given that quota went down this year. I've also edited in updated quotas and totals.

Some of these may have barriers to expansion or may be "special" places with undesirable circumstances, but they sure have solid numbers, or too few groups to sustain the high numbers.

My top 25 candidates for expansion:
1. University of Alabama 17 NPCs, Total 360, 2013 Quota 117. They were open, but nothing ever happened. Groups that aren't already there may be scared of the commitment, but if the numbers ever supported it, it's here.

4. Louisiana State University 11 NPCs, 2013 Quota 99. Alpha Phi's current recolonization won't do enough to diminish the need for further expansion.

What schools do you think demonstrate a real need for more NPC groups?

Yes, a new list would be prudent as much has changed over eighteen months. Would irishpipes and clemsongirl like to flip a coin toward new thread authorship?
