It's a fruit cake! Blech! More power to Kate if she wanted that --and I hear that fruit cake is traditional there for wedding cakes--but maybe it's an acquired taste.
When I got married, I was tired of spongy and tasteless white wedding cakes so I insisted that the interior of mine be chocolate and it really shocked the baker. And the cake cutter.

The boy & I were watching the 20/20 Royal Wedding recap last night. They showed the cake and I asked if that's what was thinking, to which he said yes. (I mentioned it before, all he really wants for our wedding is a very tall cake). But then they mentioned that Prince William got to cut it with a sword. I asked, "so you cut our cake with a sword?" He was like "UM, YES."
