High: I leave for Recruitment Counselor training in about 5 min. I've been looking forward to this all... summer.
Low: I'm exhausted but hoping to catch a few Z's on the two hour trip to another RC's cabin. My car is still dead but its going through transplant surgery. My step-mom has surgery coming up but I talked to my dad and shes not really telling him anything. Its tough b/c she wants to keep all her problems in and I don't know how to talk to my dad about it.

Highs: I ended up going to TJ Maxx yesterday and they must have been really picked out.. they only had crap. *but* we went to Annie Sez (a clothing store aimed at 30 yr old women lol) and they had Seven jeans really really marked down -- so I got 2 pairs for under $40 each! woohoo. today is my last day home and im really really excited to go back
Lows: the ipod I ordered for my boyfriend arrived today at 10:31 AM (yay fedex tracking) at the school mailroom, but i wont be getting into STL until tomorrow, and I wont be moving into my room until thursday (I'm going in a day early to see my bf and friends before I'm really busy with all of the crazy stuff I committed to before school starts). Do you think they would steal it if it looks conspicuously like an ipod? I mean, since it was delivered via FedEX they had to sign for it... but im still a little nervous. When I ordered it the estimated SHIP date was today, and then another 2-5 days for delivery so I didnt expect it to arrive so soon!!!!! (But I heard stories about stores being out and them being backordered so I didn't wanna get screwed)
Ohh ipod.. I hope you are safe in a non-obviously marked box in the school mailroom...

suzi: your dad is probably feeling the same anxiety about your step-mom as you are -- it might help you both feel better if the 2 of you talked about it. Maybe if you brought up "I'm a little worried about ______, how are you taking everything?" and talk about feelings n stuff. I know it sounds mega-cheesy but I went thru 80 hours of training for peer-counseling last semester and while it sounds a little silly online, it really does work in person. you can PM me if you want

Highs: Today has been a pretty laid back day at work for a monday. This week's weather is suppose to be nice, maybe I can make it to the pool one afternoon after work.
Lows: Its nice out.. I hate being stuck inside an office. Also, I think the guy my age that I work with is going to find another job. He had interned at this place for the past few summers to get experience and only committed to the summer, he makes working here better so I would hate to be the only one my age in the office after that.
Despite this being a good job, I cant see myself working here for more than another year or two. I would feel bad, but I kind of want to use this as an opportunity to just get experience. I hate not having anyone my age really to work with. I dont really know many people outside of work and none of the people I work with are my age so it makes it hard to meet new people.

Highs: Only 10 more working days and then it's off to school!!! Well actually 9 because this day is almost done.
Lows: I really need to lose weight like mad and I have decided to get my butt back in the gym, but I am so sick of working 8 hours a day doing the most boring job in the world, that I am starting to make excuses why I shouldn't go to the gym. Alos, I have a million and one things to do before school starts and I have no time to do them because I said I would work up until the third. I will probably have to take a day off next week to do them...perhaps I'll take my birthday off??

Alright, it's been too long since I've done this.
Highs: I went to see the Exorcist today, and it was a pretty good movie. Granted, it's hard to beat the first, but it does a good job! I'm pretty much set for the beginning of grad school, which begins tomorrow (orientation). Also, I've turned into an Olympic junkie.
Lows: Not too many. I'm just sad that my summer is over.

Thanks Elizabeth! This week shouldn't be too bad since it's just orientation. I'm just sad because I think the electives I want will be closed by the time I register.

Suzi I think that's one of the coolest events ever! My new personal goal is to go to the Olympics either in badminton or in speed walking. I'm leaning more towards badminton.
Highs: Today was my first day of orientation, and it went GREAT. Everyone is just so nice, and I've already made a small group of friends. I was able to find an interesting elective to take, and thankfully orientation isn't too intense this week. At least I still have some free time before school literally starts.
Lows: Well, it's supposed to rain all week. Tomorrow I get to experience the IU bus system for the first time (UGH), and my feet have seen better days than today. (AKA, never believe your friend when she says she lives "near campus"....it turned out to be a 30 min walk!)

My most recent ex-boyfriend used to hold national records in racewalking in the junior division waay back in the day. Ha, ha!
Highs: I'm going with a sister to Southpark Mall in Charlotte tomorrow--it's the really "classy" mall there, and from what I hear they opened a new Louis Vuitton store there this spring/summer (I'm never home anymore so I'm not entirely sure). Anyway, we're going to do a lot of window-shopping!
Lows: I have the GREs on Friday, and I'm still not scoring where I'd like to be on the math section despite lots of practice. Plus, I am still stressed out over my breakup. Plus, being at home is kind of boring.

Lol, I played badminton w/ my Tri Delta buddy not long before my graduation and MAN! I forgot how much of the wrist is involved in that! My wrist was sore for days!
HIGH: took the Meyers-Briggs and was classified as ENFJ/Field Marshall....which bodes well considering my current ideas for a career...
LOW: THE LSAT IS COMING! THE LSAT IS COMING! *cowers in corner under a blanket*
