I need positive energy/prayers, I have a job interview for a job I do want!! The job is less than two hours from where I am now. All this will go down on Friday.

Lovespink88, I hope you are doing well.

Thanks eli, prayers for you as well.

I'm doing well, although I don't think it's really hit me yet (I was not there when he passed. Most of his children, including my mom, were there though). Today is the wake & the funeral so things will start to get real soon.

On the upside, my friend who woke up from the coma is doing extremely well. She's had her good and bad days, but we're very hopeful. Things are going well down there and I'm still so very grateful for her life.

But there's other bad news in the family. My cousin was shot last week. His friend shot him in the leg with a shotgun, I don't know why. But it hit an artery in a leg that had already been previously injured so he lost it. He was put in a medically-induced coma before the amputation. It was touch and go for awhile but they brought him out of it and he is stable. I'm so happy about that but you can imagine the shock of going to sleep and waking up to find that, not only have several days passed but your leg is gone. It's just a really tough time for this family and it all feels so out-of-control. I'm not even sure what I'm requesting prayer for....just all of the above, I guess. Right now, I'm just meditating on my siggy and asking God to get us through all of this without any further harm.

Please say a prayer for my grandma. She is having surgery tomorrow to remove a cancerous node behind her lung and possibly more if it has spread.
She practically raised me growing up. All of my young memories are of her/at her house. I am really scared

Thank you everyone for your prayers.
They couldn't do what they planned when they opened her up because of how much the cancer had already spread & she wouldn't have been able to survive what needed to be done at that point.
They are planning to send her for chemo I guess.
But my prayers were answered, in that she is still here.

The worst part about all of this is how scared she is and that I can't do anything about that. The sister she was closest to, died of cancer two years ago. The second worst part is that a doctor saw this a few years ago and didn't take the actions necessary to fix the situation. She wasn't even aware of it, but it was noted in her records.

Also, I realized I never updated you all on the status of my brother. His bone tumor is thankfully benign. He will be having it removed soon.
When both of these things showed up at the same time (my little brother & grandma both possibly having cancer), my grandma told me she prayed it was her and not him.
It makes me wonder...because his certainly showed all signs of being malignant...and it was not...

I am requesting your prayers and positive energy for a Delta, an AKA, and their friend who were robbed and attacked this weekend in the Atlanta area. The assailant is still at large; the ladies are recovering in the hospital.
