This thread is OFFICIALLY ridiculous and just reinforces stereotypes of "Sorority Girls"....while I may have many of the aforementioned "neccessities," I still think its inappropriate to generalize and call them neccessitied.

Arguably *most* items listed are important for savvy, mover-shaker, innovative women of the new millenium who are leaders in their field.....many of whom got their leadership training through their GLO, and have a college degree which opens doors for them.
Several of my GDI friends have the same "needs"
Oh, and I also need a good internet connection!

If you read the thread, you'll see that complaint has been brought up. Many a time.

Every Sorority Woman Needs:
loving sisters who are there in good times and bad
study buddies
a sense of humor
a generous and forgiving nature
self-respect, decency, and dignity
Is that good, Rachel?

Hey guys!
I think this thread needs to be bumped. I'm starting at Eastern Michigan University and am about to start back to school/get ready for recruitment shopping. What are ya'lls neccessities thi fall?
Here's my list:
-black pants
-nice jeans
-black Coach purse
-flip flops in every color
-Clinique lip gloss
-strappy sandals
-pink Burberry plaid scarf
-polo shirts from the Gap
-sparkly shirts for going out
-anything abercrombie
Also, does anyone go to EMU? What kind of stuff do I need for recruitment?

I remember being in college when this thread started, thinking this was sooooo cool.
Now that I'm older I think this thread should be shot.
Seriously gang, Kate Spade? Coach? Prada? Burberry? Those aren't necessities. Those are friggin' luxuries.

I was just thinking that. Maybe if I had spent less of my money on Coach/Kate Spade/Steve Madden/ abercrombie /Lucky jeans/ Whatever other designer I might have more money in my bank account right now to buy new clothes...since very few of my college clothes are "work appropriate."
