Our MITs had their musicale tonight and they were VERY impressive.

So proud of them all and I am amazed that we still have all 7.

Hoping I can start an alumnae chapter with 14 other lovely ladies in my area... we've been talking about it for years!

We don't know how they got it or how long it has even been up, but we are proud.

There are some cutie-patootie pictures of the UGA chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota in the Athens newspaper today. It's a tea they hosted for prospective members.

Look at what I won on that site. It's a really rare item that I only knew existed because I saw it in the background of an old chapter photo.

Oh, wow, that's beautiful! Reminds me of my eternal wish to have a woven crest throw. The company that does them is licensed for us, I think, but there aren't any on their site. (ETA: I would swear they were licensed for us at one time but it looks like they're not on there any more.)

I hadn't talked to my little in 5 years. We just talked on the phone for an hour. Reminds me why I liked her so much in college. Even though she's not a sister anymore (she de-sistered after some drama), she's still a sister to me.

The wedding bouquet

I don't know that we, as a sisterhood, have a whole lot of wedding traditions. If I remember correctly, only one of our Founder's went on to get married and have children. I'm not sure if you know much of the history, but many of the traditions started in the early days are ones we still use now and since only one of them got married....

Of course, when SAIs meet SAIs eat! Of course, always have sisters in attendance sing you the chorale. And, a chapter sister of mine is getting married this summer and there is a song called "Sweetheart of SAI" That I want us to learn so we can sing it to the groom.

And, girl, they are your badges--wear them however you want!

I'm going to put laurel wreath on each table, too.

And of course, the white dress is all over some SAI.

If you know the ritual well, incorporate some aspects of that--that no one would suspect. (ie-red roses, white roses, # of ppl at a table) not like say the pledge or anything.
