At the moment I cannot stop listening to Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter. Positively lovely song!

Hmmph...

HC no one has ever told me about Rachelle Ferrell?

Her voice is amazing. Like... for no good reason, she has A-M-A-Z-I-N-G pipes! I listened to a song from a live album last night while riding with friends! I almost cried because her words and that voice were blowing me away. Ideal, MeezDiscreet, RD: how come nobody told me? And you think you know folks...

I'm off to buy some of her stuff today! Excited!

RF has ALWAYS been amazing.
Her most commercial release came out in the 90s. I believe it was the self titled CD. The songs that were major RnB hits were: "Welcome to my Life" (that could be the name of the CD), the duet with Will Downing, "Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This" and "(With) Open Arms".

Her piano skills are on fire! She's great live!

Can't wait until Essence. It seems like I'll spend more time in the Super Lounge.

Sorry, we thought you knew! You're usually the one to put folks up on game though, lol.

The CD that AKA2D mentions is the only one of hers that I ever owned and it was a really wonderful CD!! I liked the same songs, 2D!

She is quite amazing! I had the pleasure of seeing her live and it was just....((speechless))

Like AKA2D said, she has a self-titled release then followed that up with "Individuality (Can I be me?)". She might be touring; check your city for dates.

My favorite Carl Thomas song right now is "Oh No" with Cham.

I got Chrisette Michele today too--it's going to take me a minute. I wasn't instantly captivated.

I like CMs "Your Joy" and the Last song on the CD. Her sound is refreshing if nothing else.

I'm still waiting for CT to arrive. I do remember hearing it on AOL last and I was really pleased.

I wasn't either, but I think it's because it's not the typical R&B album (read: only one rapper featured (thank goodness)). I have to listen to it again. So far my favorite is "Hero."

Chrisette Michele for President!
I finally listened to her album. I love it.

Does anyone have Donnie's new album? I want to pick it up this weekend. According to his myspace, there is a special version sold at Circuit City which includes bonus tracks.
