ATLANTA -- A new advertising campaign from Spirit Airlines has some tongues clicking.

The Fort Lauderdale-based airline, which specializes in flights to the Caribbean, is advertising a "Many Islands, Low Fares" special.

On Spirit's web site they are calling the offer the "MILF" sale; short for "Many Island, Low Fares."

Some Internet bloggers have pointed that "MILF" is known as an obscene acronym in some circles. It is used to describe an attractive older woman.

Some bloggers suggest the use of "MILF" is an unintentional oversight by the airline.

Others say Spirit knows exactly what they are doing. They point to the image of a Caribbean island in the ad that has been altered to resemble a reclining woman.

ROTFLMAO...............

BAH-HA! Oh my God that's too funny -- when you click in the Spirit Air site, you can't miss the "reclining woman" island image right before the big huge MILF letters come up (and lots of the flight prices are $69 -- I'm sure that was "unintentional" too, right? ). Well, hey, it worked, we're talking about it and I went to the Spirit Air site which I've never done before in my life... so I bet those marketing guys will be getting big fat bonuses for their "gaff".

In a Disney community, there was a discussion of how to abbreviate Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. You know - Haunted Mansion is HM, It's a Small World is IASM, and so Monsters, Inc. became MILF, to which some objected.

Ok world...puker up!!!

http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/perso...ers/index.html

In a study published recently in the scientific journal "Evolutionary Psychology," 59 percent of men and 66 percent of women said they've been in the position of being attracted to someone -- until they kissed the person. Check out some famous kissing »

"At the moment of the kiss, there's a very complicated exchange of information ... that may tap into underlying evolved mechanisms" cluing us in on whether we're genetically compatible, explains Gordon Gallup, co-author of the study and professor of psychology at the State University of New York at Albany. "A kiss can be a deal-breaker in terms of whether a relationship will flower or flounder, so to speak."

I can remember "surveying" so many when I was younger...until I found the "perfect kisser"...Mr. Sageofages!

So I found this on dlisted.com, but it does contain actual news footage:

Woman upset with plastic surgeon for saggy butt implants. The end of the video is likely NSFW.

Shots Fired After Mansfield Man Passes Gas

http://www.wetmtv.com/news/local/sto...c-3bbb07f3f7df

SOUTHPORT - Flatulence is blamed for a Sunday night shooting at a Southport business.

William Hoover, 32, pulled out a semi-automatic rifle at Wheeler's Beverage Barn and shot at three people who teased him about passing gas, a Chemung County sheriff's investigator said.

The incident began inside the store after 6 p.m., where Hoover got into an argument with the three people who teased him about his flatulence, deputies said.

When the argument moved outside and turned physical, Hoover ran to his car, pulled out a semi-automatic rifle, and shot at the three people, deputies said.

Nobody was hurt, and Hoover, of Mansfield, Pennsylvania, was arrested Monday and charged with attempted assault.

Employees at Wheeler's Beverage Store would not comment on the incident, and the victims asked not to be identified due to fears of retaliation.

Two Deceased Triplets Removed From Abdomen of 1-Year-Old Girl

Wednesday, December 12, 2007
A 1-year-old girl's deceased siblings were removed from her abdomen by Indonesian doctors at Sumatra island hospital, according to a report from French news agency AFP.
The two bodies, believed to be triplets that did not fully develop, were successfully removed from the girl Tuesday during a five-hour surgery, the head of medical services at the main state hospital in the West Sumatra city of Padang told AFP.

The girl had initially been diagnosed with stomach tumors, however doctors later discovered her abdominal discomfort was the result of two deceased siblings connected to her digestive tract.
One of the bodies was complete except for limbs. The second had only a head with hairs and part of its digestive system.

This may be more fun than some of the others here.
From AutoWeeks' "But wait, there's more" section:
"On Nov 30, I waited more than an hour to register my new trailer at the Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Registry. After I write my check and receive my plates and my new registration, the clerk looks at me with a straight face and says, "Your registration is about to expire. Would you like to renew it now for @29.00?

I laughed until she explained that all Massachusetts trailer registrations expire on the same date: Nov. 30th.
I had just purchased a 13-hour registration"

When I heard that story yesterday I thought it was from the National Enquirer. Bizarre!

Found this in a blog yesterday, with no attribution. It'd be a great Onion news article. I would love to know its original source:

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the
starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts
that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has
spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB
for the Packers. During this period of time she became
familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now
completely comfortable with other terminology of the
Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that
50% of those polled supported the move.

Does this sounds idiotic and unbelievable to you?
Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she
is qualified to be President and 50% of democrats polled
agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State.

When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has
8 years in the white house, Dick Morris stated
"so has the pastry chef".
