For real! What would be best: an all-female group, all-male, or mixed? We know that Total is over (they were supposed to come back, but where are they? ). He has New Edition, but they may only be marketable to ORIGINAL NE fans. I doubt that teenagers will get into them like we are anticipating a comeback. There are no mixed groups, but would that work? He took a chance with Da Band, so why not?

It was a sad day for D-A-B-A-N-D!!
I hate to see them dismantled! It was a good show. Can you imagine how that must have felt to Sara and Choppa?! Man, from stardom to nothing in minutes. That's unfortunate, but I'm sure we'll see them around in the future.
Diddy should do it again. And I do agree with CT4...let's make it an R & B group. I loved watching this show...what will I watch on Thursdays now?!

My take.....
That last ep was shocking to say the least, but I knew it would happen eventually.
Fred: He was straight up GHETTO when he was on speakerphone in front of Hiriam Hicks and Phil Robinson. How are you gonna be cursing like that with a record exec and your group lawyer? That's not professional. I understand that he wanted to spend more time with his son, but he went about it the wrong way.
Chopper: He didn't need to be in the group either. Puff called him on it when he said that he wasn't mature enough to handle this career and that it's not a game. He caused toooooo much drama with him always wanting to touch his fans and causing ruckus in that hotel. That stuh was not safe at all.
Sara: In four words- TOO MUCH DAYUM DRAMA!!!!!!!!! Especially when her husband was around. Yet, I hope her solo career (whether it be endorsements, modeling or music) gets off the ground.
Dylan (aka the potential proactiv client): He had his azz kicking coming to him, his azz being kicked out the group.
Babs (aka Clydesdale; still CTHU at the name): she caused some drama too, with all of her ghettofabulousness. She was always "running up to the cliff" when it came to stuh going down.
Ness: He, along with Babs, was the most dedicated band member, as far as going to shows. But when it came time to make the music, Ness was always there. Which I admire b/c he knew he had responsibilities to take care of [namely his daughter, Kia (sp?)]. But now that Clyde and Clydesdale are the only ones left standing, I hope they do their thing!

Re: My take.....
Like Tracy Waples said in Season One.....
"Chopper's gonna be a problem."
Awwww, I miss her. I wonder where she went.
And Alison Stanley was mad annoying. I didn't appreciate her cameo appearances.

Let me set the scene:
Girl drives up street towards apartment complex.
Girl sees limo coming from other direction.
Girl continues on as limo turns towards apartment complex.
Girl turns onto complex grounds and stops at gate.
Girl reaches from gate key, while limo pulls ahead of her.
Girl stares like, "WTH is this thinking they are gonna swoop in before me?"
Girl stares at limo, into back window which is slightly rolled down.
Girl spots hand with fleur de lis tattoed on it.
Girl realizes that it's Chopper.
Girl presses gate key and pulls up to gate and enters.
Girl zooms on because I don't care if you do/did roll with P.Diddy, I was here first--not you and your limo.
I am starting to think that the breakup was either some BS or Chopper made more than I suspect. Maybe he is really down with Bad Boy South. I don't know. That's not the first time I've seen the limo. He is rolling in luxury for a dude that just got fired. Next time I see him, I may have to get in his business.

Interview with Fred
On the final episode of MTV’s “Making The Band 2.” the world saw Fred just quit, refusing to return from his Florida home to venture back to New York. In a profanity-laced blaze of glory, the Miami-native cursed out P.Diddy’s handlers (and Da Band’s manager) in a way that truly oozed exasperation and frustration. Things are often different they they seem, especially in reality TV, he maintains. Through the power of editing, he feels as if his (and the entire band’s) image has been distorted unfairly.

Please take your place inside your own handbasket! I'm CTHU. Why does he have to be a 50 year old Great Grand daddy? What are you trying to say, CT4?

Re: Interview with Fred
wow.
Illiteracy, yay? It is TRULY sad how completely inarticulate this man is- someone who calls himself an 'artist' in a medium where the use of words is KEY. He only knows 'bout ten words and the ones he likes best are N****a and bulls***.
That is a damn shame.

After reading that article, I am THOUROUGHLY CONVINCED that Fred is on crack! No one can tell me that he isn't. WTF is a "halfway millionaire"? This dude needs help.
On Russ Parr this morning, Knowledge stated that Chopper is on Bad Boy South. He has been said to have "matured" and will be releasing a solo album, featuring collaborations with Manny, Baby, and Lil Wayne, as well as Jazzy Pha. Let's see how that turns out....

Bad Boy South/ Babs Soprano's Movie
Chopper, the youngest member of the now defunct group had tears in his eyes on this week's finale of Making the Band, but on Friday as he traveled from New Orleans to Chicago he didn't seem dreary at all.
And he has good reason to be perky. Diddy who disbanded the group on the finale and announced he'd only continue working with Ness and Babs has given Chopper a second chance. Chop is going to be the first solo act on Bad Boy South.
They sent me up to New York," he recalled of the surprise news. "They have you waiting up in the office all day just to tell you one thing. I was in the office all day and they said, 'It's confirmed, you're Bad Boy South.' I probably did three flips when they told me that."
To make sure Diddy isn't on his back, Chop said he's straightened up and will be acting more mature. "I was a young guy, ya dig?" he said of some of his questionable onscreen actions. "I had all my fun. Now I'm getting older. I gotta be cool, serious. I gotta be business. I have been most definitely scared straight."
Chopper's mapping out his solo album's blueprint with help from producer Tony Dofat, and he said he wants to work with Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, Lil' Wayne and Jazze Pha.
Meanwhile, Ness and Babs are working on tracks from Dofat as well. Diddy has dubbed them hip-hop's new Bonnie and Clyde, implying that the two would operate as a duo, but that may not be the case.
Ness isn't sure what the game plan is, but he said he's continuing to work on a solo album called Nessessary with Dofat and underground producers like Black Keys, regardless of what he does with Babs.
"D-Dot volunteered to [executive produce] it. Just Blaze volunteered to do it. Rockwilder volunteered to do it," gloated Ness, who said he and fellow Philadelphia native Beanie Sigel are doing a song together in which they rhyme over the beat from Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G.'s classic "Brooklyn's Finest" collaboration.
Babs has a clearer picture of what Bad Boy has in store for her and Ness . "It's gonna be two solo [albums]. They trying to package it sort of like Outkast," she said. "Two solo CDs, but sorta like a group. I'm happy about it. I would like to do my own thing, of course, but if I had to work with anybody it would be Ness. It's crazy. I feed off of Ness, he feeds off of me it's a good team in the studio.
Like many of the group's fans, Babs found the "Making the Band" finale, taped weeks ago, to be a tearjerker. But though the six of them were sent their separate ways, they've still been getting together onstage.
"It feels weird performing together, because every show feels like it could be the last one," she said. "The fans [at recent shows] didn't really know the show was a wrap. We knew, but we couldn't say nothing. So we on the road doing shows and people saying, 'We hope y'all don't ever break up.' We looking at each other like, 'They just don't know.' "
Babs said she knows deep down that her fellow reality show veterans will land on their feet, with or without Bad Boy.
"People say Dylan f***ed his own self over, which could be true, but that doesn't take away from his talent. Hopefully he'll shape up and somebody will pick him up and wanna sign him. Sara is gonna be good. I already know she's got a movie deal and she's trying to get her foot in acting. She's a beautiful young woman, and she can sing.
"Fred is my boy," she continued. "I know he's gonna be good, but he's hard-headed. Fred is one of those guys that can't sit down and take orders. I speak to Fred often. Me and him are the closest out of everybody in Da Band. I try to get him out of that Dirty South mentality. He never had a job before, he never really had to deal with bosses."
Aside from their music, Babs said she and Chopper are going to be working on an independent film with Lil Fizz and some actors from The Sopranos.
"It's on some mob stuff," she promised. "It's related to the mob life. I'm trying to clap a couple of people in the movie."

Dylan: " Life After Diddy" CD
"It's called "Life After Diddy." Dylan told AllHipHop.com. "With all the controversy surrounding Da Band, I felt it was time to really let my lyrics out, make them feel me," Dylan said. "Any question people have about me, it's on that mixtape."

OHHH NOOO! I knew that Dreux (Lil Fizz) had lost his damn mind but I didn't know the extent. Have you heard his La La La song? I wonder if this is an F.B.I. production or not?
OK, now I am not up with all the lingo, so please don't laugh at me too hard. Babs said that she is "trying to clap a couple of people in the movie." I know she isn't trying to give people gonorrhoea so what does it mean?
