I was going to say "she clicked them 3 times" for 3 letters, but yours is better.

Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpha Sigma Alpha
Sigma Kappa (only because one of their colors is maroon)
None were founded in Kansas so I'm throwing away that idea.
On that note, I'm clueless.

Yay!! I'm going to guess my own Alpha Sigma Alpha. Letters on the new member badge, spesified RUBY and pearl, share the Crown with ZTA.

I'm changing my guess to AOPi. The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie..and Dorothy wants to go back to Kansas, where they grow lots of wheat ( I am assuming..I've never been there) and the new member badge of AOPi is a wheat sheath...I know it is a stretch lol Oh and the whole ruby slippers thing too...

Ok so I just checked. AOII has no collegiate chapters in Kansas and ASA has two. Still keeping ASA as my guess.

I interpreted the Dorothy clicking her slippers 3 times one simply as referring to the ruby.
So my first guess was AOPi because the ruby is their one and only jewel. ASA also has the pearl.
Never made the Kansas connection. Nor even the 3 letter one- though due to other clues, I had narrowed it down to 2 orgs that had 3 letters. Just the ruby one.

I'm back. Busy weekend! You're doing great
So...I'll give you one more clue, and then I'll reveal the answer before 3pm (Eastern).
THE FINAL HINT:
A color or two may change from day to day,
but sure persistance leads the way
to my new home in...__________
(I had to edit 'cause I messed up my own clue!!)
