I too stopped watching Girlfriends for awhile, it seemed as if they all just went clubbing and looking for men, I watched the Puerto Rico episode and couldn't believe William didn't know the difference of finding a first star hotel! Come on he's a Lawyer how could you be that dumb! This show has many stereotypes Joan the Momma figure, Lynn the aimless one, Toni the high maintenance sister, and Mya the around the way girl! Give me a break, I guess that's why they call it entertainment

I agree Lady of Pearl with your assessment of the characters. BET will show reruns of "Girlfriends" and if you ever wanna see how these characters HAVE NOT evolved, just take a look at the reruns. Joan has been needy since season 1 and how long has this show been on?
When are they going to introduce a "normal" girlfriend to the mix?

I'ont know but I kind of agree with Brock(sp), I can't picture William and Joan having a future together. Maybe if she were to slap a lil mazzola corn oil (or all...as pronouced by my Pastor) on Brocks lips maybe they could get back what they had.....

Joan still loves Brock . . .
Last night I guess TPTB decided to make Malik's lips less ashy and dipped his whole head in a vat of used bacon grease. He was the one who was glowing.
Joan knows she was wrong for dropping William's hand. Let him have seen Yvonne and said that isht to Yvonne about Joan the way that Joan did to Brock and Joan would have pouted her oblong head all the way home.
The Shirley Feeney/Lynn story line just did not work for me. It didn't. They need to do Lynn like they did Judy Winslow. Get rid of her.

I dang the writers of Girlfriend to everlasting hellfire!
Who knew the act of holding hands could be such a stilted, awkward and sadly embarrassing thing to watch. *sigh*
I say again, when are they going to introduce a "normal" girlfriend to the group dynamic? Ya'll know that no matter how crazy the group gets there is always that ONE sista that is the rock.
And they need to bring Yvonne back. I liked her! Whatever happened to her? Why didn't she and William get married?

I agree. Everytime I see Lynn on the screen I pick up my book from class and start studying. She's a mess!! She finally decided to do something with her life (and multitude of degrees) and then She decides to be a mime in the park?
Either give her character some substance or get rid of her.

I caught the credits one night, and noticed Kelsey Grammer is the executive producer. Dr. Crane produces Girlfriends
I said this before to CT4, but it needs to be repeated, Joan has had some extremely unfortunate outfits, colors, styles, etc.

Yep, I peeped that during the first season. I believe he made a cameo one time.
The designers are trying to turn Joan into the Black "Carrie"...um, no!
As for William and Yvonne, they broke up because she wouldn't tell his momma about her. Remember he paid for an actress to portray his mama?!? PUNK!

THe actress who played Yvonne, CeCe Michaela or something like that, was at my church recently. She said she quit the show because something they expected her to do in the story line e conflicted with her Christianity. She is going to be in one of the several Beauty Shop movies that will be comming out soon, she has a CD out and some organization designed to promote self esteem in young girls called HollyHood or something like that.
