I was suprised to see so many people from my homestate on that list! Even more suprised when I recognized 3 of the names as little sisters of girls I knew! I called them and sure enough, those are their sisters. I didn't even know they were going through recruitment at Auburn! Well, it was a great excuse to catch up with 3 good friends
What a small world!

Hate to tell y'all, but if she went to a swim meet, we will be waiting a while (if they go out for dinner, then it will be longer). High school meets are pretty streamlined, but the summer league ones last FOREVER!!! You have to be there about an hour before to warm up, then plan on about 3 hours for the meet.

While we wait...
I knew there was one girl from my high school who went to Auburn this year. I checked the list and she, like many other girls from Texas apparently, is a new member of Pi Beta Phi!

I read the list, and I have a guess based on one of her emails, and I believe that "Kate" was a pseudonym. I won't share how I think I know, but if I am right, she is a lucky gal!!!
PM me if you want to know my guess

Not to worry, ladies! The thread has not been ruined!!! I just scanned the bidlist...there are three Katies..two from IL and one from PA who went KKG and DDD. Several other northern girls with various names went DZ and SK. I;m sure there are plenty more...I got bored looking! We still get to hear from mom where Kate found her home!

So there are a bunch of girls at bottom out of alpha order....snap bids???
There were two Katie's from IL so Kate could be here or about 50 other girls who are not from the deep south. Missouri and IN had a couple too.
No Jersey girls though.
Oh, and how does Kappa have 66?????? Were they under total?

Go to the first post... she said "I'll call her Kate".
So I believe that Kate is a pseudonym.

The girls at the bottom were omitted in the preparation of the list per one of the members I spoke to this afternoon. As for KKG taking quota additions...the chapter is quite large. They probably used quota additions to take girls who listed Kappa first, but were still available after matching. This is the one time you can do this. The nice thing is that no one knows (except panhellenic) who was in the original group taken in quota and who might have been very blessed to be a quota addition. AU's rush is brutal. Congratulations to Kate and to her mom!!! Whew!! Can't wait to see which is the lucky group.
