^^ I agree. I don't think that the coach's firing goes to the guilt or innocence of the players. I think it just speaks to the fact that off the field he sucks as a coach because he can't keep his team under control. It sounds like the team had problems before, administration told the coach to get his team under control, he didn't and now that this issue has come up, so administration told him to kick rocks.

Second Dancer In Duke Lacrosse Team Scandal Seeks Help From Lil' Kim's PR Firm
Full story
Kim Roberts, the second dancer involved in the Duke University Men's Lacrosse team rape scandal, is taking steps to reverse the negative effects of the alleged incident.
Roberts, 31, recently sent an e-mail to 5W Public Relations to request their services.
The company has represented a variety of high profile rappers and celebrities, including its most recent client, rapper Lil' Kim.
"Although I am no celebrity and just an average citizen, I've found myself in the center of one of the biggest stories in the country," Roberts said in an email to 5W Public Relations. "I'm worried about letting this opportunity pass me by without making the best of it and was wondering if you had any advice as to how to spin this to my advantage. I am determined not to let any negative publicity about my life overtake me. I'm so confused as to who to talk to for relevant advice and I hope that you can return my e-mail. If you cannot help, do you know of any names and numbers I can call?"

Wow, is that her picture? She looks like lil Kim if that is not lil Kim. I am surprised that a gag order had not been issued. All of these objectives and different views of the case are being reviewed by a possible jury on the case, which may sway a decision forcing neither party to get a fair trail.

There goes any credibility she may have had as a witness in this case. People are so incredibly stoooooopid.

Yeah, that's my point. I don't think that it speaks to guilt or innocence at all, I just think that this was the incident is entirely too public (esp. given their track record) for the university to not act.

I agree that a gag order should have been placed on all parties involved so that when this does go to trial there will be a fair trial but nowadays what trial is fair?

If your answer is Yes - you would care - then why is this a race issue??????? I can't say for sure, but they probably would have raped whoever they hired - black, white, yellow or pink. It just happened to be a black girl in this case.
The issue is a GIRL was raped by several Lacrosse players and no one is stepping forward. Do you honestly believe that if the girl that was raped was white that magically someone would offer info or step forward???
Oh, and if you answered "No" to the original question, then I just have no more words for you.

I don't know if this has been addressed, but let me spit some knowledge for a brief minute -the issue is not whether one would be concerned if it was a white girls who got raped - the issue is the fact that this AA woman's credibility is being questioned and people thinking twice about her allegations, primarily (whether conciously or subconciously) because of her race. As an aside - if these were some AA football players who had allegedly raped a white stripper - TRUST there would have been NO hesitation in arresting all of their black behinds . . quick fast and in a hurry . . .they would have been assumed guilty FIRST and then had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt their INNOCENCE!!!

I mean how do you not question credibility when DNA evidence shows it's not a dude they indicted and then they have witnesses, credit card receipts and a bunch of other stuff that says the guy couldn't have been involved because of timing?
I don't know. Kobe Bryant wasn't thrown in jail and he's a black athlete.

Class issue, He is also a rich black athlete. I think this issue is more class than anything but race does matter because of the racial slander used during the allege rape.

Maybe. I'm just putting it out there. I also know this. There are black people that will believe her even if the evidence shows otherwise and there are white people that will believe the students because how can kids like that do any wrong.
Either way, I think it's time for a new controversy because the news is boring lately.
