Re: the whole silent birth thing.

I actually went to the Scientology webpage and read the FAQ there about silent birth. It's supposed to make things healthier for the baby and prevent psychological problems later in life. Also I googled the crap and evidently if you talk to the baby it might implant those alien "thetan" things in the baby and give it problems.

Wowee.

I can't believe there hasn't been ANY pictures of the kid yet.
Actually, wait, since I don't believe she was really pregnant in the first place... maybe I do believe it, lol

LOL, I think the baby is fake too!

Or, if she really had the kid, she's signing away her parental rights a la Debbie Rowe (fka Mrs. Michael Jackson).

Yea I heard on the radio Katie went on a shopping spree to buy some inspirational clothes (size 2!) to inspire her to lose weight... but in the picture that was taken of her on her shopping spree, she was already tiny?

i haven't seen this picture, so i don't know what they are referring to,but somehow i wouldn't doubt it!

There's also the fact that they're not supposed to talk to the baby for like 2 weeks or something idiotic like that. Maybe they haven't taken the baby out yet because of all the noise. We wouldn't want to harm the baby with all the thetans that are out there, now would we?

Something tells me that Katie's parents have Child Protective Services on speed-dial, just in case.

Reasons like this are why people really need to research things if they're going to make a permanent decision based on the translation of a word from another language.

Reminds me of horror stories I've heard where a person at a tattoo parlor chooses a picture of a Chinese character they're told means something like "Luck" and they find out after they've been tattooed that it actually means "I smell like old cheese".

Some people are just lucky. My friend Carrie left the hospital in her pre-pregnancy jeans after her son was born.

My co-worker (of the "Name Julie's Baby!" thread) had her baby recently and came into work with the little guy 2 weeks later. She has always been fit and tiny-- in fact you could not tell from the waist up or from behind that she was pregnant, and just after the baby, she was back to her very tiny clothes. Now it's been about a month or so and she came in again yesterday-- she looks wonderful and you honestly would never guess she's had a baby (except for the stroller she was pushing and the beautiful baby boy inside!)

The funny thing is, babies actually like loud white noise (think slightly louder than a vacuum cleaner) because it reminds them of being in the womb.

And someone should tell Scientologists that babies' eardrums are thick and waxy when born, muffling all noises considerably. They don't thin and strech out until the kids are a few months old. So noise in the room when they're born doesn't mean a damn thing.

7 weeks later and I'm no where near fitting into my pre pg clothes!

There is a relatively new religion out there that worships a deity called Jasper, we learned about it as a side not in a comparitive religion class.

Some odd-ball beliefs they have:

They believe that during their worship they are actually eating the flesh of Jasper.

They believe that if they tell their prayer leader everything they do, they will be absolved of any sin.

They believe that sex before marriage can damn you to fiery torment.

There are other equally strange sounding beliefs.
