'Soul Food' Stars Reunite for UPN Pilot
(Thursday, February 19 12:34 PM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe, two stars of Showtime's "Soul Food," are set to continue their on-screen relationship in a pilot for UPN.

Parker and Kodjoe, who play a formerly engaged couple on "Soul Food," will star as a married couple in "Second Time Around," a comedy UPN has ordered as a pilot presentation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They'll play a couple who married briefly when they were young and decide to give it another go.

Ralph Farquhar and Michelle Listenbee-Brown, who've worked together on "The Parkers," are writing the pilot and executive producing with Claude Brooks. The show comes from Paramount Network TV and C to the B Productions.

The premise sounds good, but with the pedigree of the writers/exec producers (THe Parkers) I am not to hopeful. Sounds like another "Dancing in September" moment (Nicole Ari Parker's HBO movie about the things black go through to make it in Hollywood)
