Looks like AXiD might be in the best position, already owning a structure.

AXiD hasn't owned a house at UA in several years. Gamma Phi Beta purchased their old house and renovated it a while back.

Oh, by the way, I'm running in instate/OOS numbers right now. It's a lot, so give me some time!
But in short, I think we can put to rest any worries about OOS girls not getting bids at ALL chapters at Bama.

About 17% of AGD pledge class is from outside the south, with about 30-31% more from Southern States Outside of Alabama. 51-52% of total pledge class from Alabama. I think the Non-South percentage is similar (ish) to last year. Not that I ran the numbers or anything...........

My last Bama lady went Alpha Chi Omega...between Bama this week and UGA last week, I'm exhausted! On another note, I have a Georgia Southern PNM who went Kappa Delta today and am waiting news on two Auburn PNMs tomorrow.

My daughter is a senior Alpha Chi Omega, and said they are thrilled with the new pledge class. Congrats to greekdee's and Bamamom13's rec girls. AXO has a wonderful chapter at UA, and the new class will have a beautiful new house in the near future too.

I'm not done, but I have to quit for the day.
Here are some early details. The most Alabama-centric chapter took about 53% local girls. The least Alabama-centric chapter took an amazing 12% of Alabama girls.
So far the only state I haven't seen represented is Hawaii, but we have UK so that covers our island requirement

Holy number crunching, DubaiSis! I guess that puts to lie the idea that OOS girls are less desirable. Love the stats work!

You know why "they" say that? Because all they think Alabama folks are a bunch of Honey Boo Boo in-bred rednecks who want to have a closed society and why on earth would their precious snowflake want to come to such a backwards place....she'll never fit in. Grow up folks. We got shoes, indoor plumbing and electricity at the same time you did.

AOII Angel - you are right. I had written down the wrong number. If ~ 2,100 pledged - the numbers are much closer than 20%.....

Please keep in mind that of that just over 2100 registered, and 1896 were given bids. Of the percentage who dropped or were released a big number are released because (in spite of clear literature and warnings from UA Panhellenic) they register with GPAs that fall below the threshold. My daughter has two hometown acquaintances who both fell below the mark. Her sorority has one of the higher GPA requirements. Unfortunately, some girls think the rule doesn't apply to them, so when the initial cuts are made, they are left with either few options or no options for bids.
