Random question, if quota was around 70 at UF, how did Phi Mu end up with over 100?
So excited for all the new Phis but that number just stands out to me.

It's not unheard of with RFM; it just depends on where the powers that be placed the quota additions. I'm sure there was behind-the-scenes logic to it.

Over on a UF thread, it was posted that freshman quota was 55 and Phi Mu matched 77. UC quota was 15 and Phi Mu matched 26. For UC quota, you have to have invited them to pref for them to be added as QAs, so Phi Mu may have cleaned up there by being more open towards UCs. As for the freshman situation, I'll agree with DubaiSis - they got the benefit of QAs.

I don't know anything about the school or the chapter at hand, so this is all kinds of speculation, but if a chapter has had not great returns in years' past, they would have larger invitation lists this year. But THIS year, the girls are really responding well to this chapter. They have more girls at preference because of previous year's returns and all the girls have them first, or a lot of the girls had them lower on the list but didn't make it onto their first/second choice bid lists. And when it comes time for quota additions, suddenly this chapter gets all of them because their list is so much longer. That's how a chapter can move from a bit smaller to right in there in just a year or two.
But again, I don't know the school. This is just A scenario where a chapter can end up with a dramatically larger class than others.

ADPi at South Carolina 124. One of my AOII sister's daughter just pledged. She is a beautiful girl...beauty queen. They are lucky to have her. I'm jealous she won't be an AOII like her mom and aunt.

FWIW, when my roomie's daughter went AOII, she consoled herself that she was only off by one letter.
Thank you for report!

That's what I told her. If she couldn't be AOII, at least she got two of the letters right
