Good for her!
Now...this is where some of the heaviest and most shocking cuts come. Many girls will have all 9 parties on their card, but a LOT have less than that...and I mean not just 7 or 8, but 2 or 3 or 4.
This is also when a LOT of girls drop out.
They need to keep going...and take a fresh look at all the groups they ARE invited to.

Oh tuuthfairy...pacific time is such an advantage...saves you worry time!
My cousin's daughter is really upbeat & her roomates & friends seem to be faring well :-)
I have a question ladies...When will we get a bid list? I know I'll hear about my cousin & a few of her closest friends but waiting on a complete list is such torture. I'm from a hometown where it seems about 5 of the houses at Alabama pledge half their darn class each year...o.k...well maybe 1/3 of the pledges...not kidding :-)
Guess I must practice patience but it just seems every year it takes forever. Auburn does a much better job of providing a list quickly. Of course, I don't know anyone rushing at Auburn this year. Thanks for any thoughts on when to expect a list...I appreciate it & still thinking good thoughts for all the "new pnm mama's" Just think....it will be here soon!!

Last year it was Monday, the first business day after. They used to post it earlier, but that was before budget cuts.

Keep your browser posted to www.ua.edu and refresh it as often as you can stand.
I think the university has been the first to post the list. In the past few years, it has shown up on both Sunday evening and Monday morning. Let's hope for Sunday evening!

7 is the max # of invites for tomorrow; last year, as I recall, it was late late late on Monday when the bid list was posted....

Hello Mike, welcome - I've seen you on College Confidential...
Go here http://www.greeklife.ua.edu/docs/Fal...%20revised.pdf
Roughly speaking, 83% pledged, but that doesn't really answer your question. Plus, even if you analyze the figures and come up with an answer, there are some girls who get bids to join, but don't like them and never show up at the house. Or never return for that first new member meeting. Not many, but there are some.
With any luck Zillini will show up here after it's all over and give us some stats.
While you're looking at the spreadsheet, note how many started recruitment in 2001 vs. 2009 - from 708 in 2001 to 1457 in 2009. Wow.

Anyone know what DKD is? My little chick posted on her Facebook that DKD rush starts next week ... and after standing 8 hours a day on their feet, they don't want ANYONE ... lol!

It is really (!) important that girls who were accepted at the end of the Jr. year follow up and submit a ending Sr. year transcript. The Sr. year grades are typically stronger than Fresh-Junior. In the absence of a updated Sr. transcript someone could have a strong GPA that is not the same one listed from Panhellenic. I have seen this happen to a number of girls I have written recs for in the past. They thought they had a 3.2-3.4 but the Panhellenic record from the time of admission was more like a 2.9 which lead to cuts early in rush.

DKD? Are they referring to the Christian sorority?
