It will be fascinating to see if they go for a higher total or expansion first. Which sorority was last to leave, Theta?

If they listened to crotchety old alumnae, I would suggest expansion. After sitting through 4 years of Monday night meetings, I honestly don't know how they could fit more girls into those formal rooms (unless they somehow expanded them in the Amos restructuring last year) without sufficating/crushing your sisters.
Theta was the last to leave, in 1999. They were gone before I pledged in 2000, with only tales of caution lingering... woooOOOooo, sorority ghost stories!

News Article
Wouldn't it be a pleasant change to have a positive headline with the number pledged instead of the number of women who dropped out of recruitment? The headline implies the chapters dropped the pnms when the fact is many dropped out when the desired invitation was not received.
All the NPC chapters pledged quota (31?) except one. Kappa Delta took 32. If more women had remained for preference there would have been greater numbers pledged.

I got the results for Santa Clara. Quota was 40 and Kappa has 47 new members!! I'm super excited to meet them!
Btw, UC Santa Cruz has 26 new members. I saw that number was missing from the first page.

We always have a really hard time with the newspaper. This is one of the tamer articles they've ever written. Normally they call our formal recruitment process ridiculous and bad, and make all sorts of accusations that somehow ICS malfunctions and that's why women don't get bids.
This recruitment cycle, EVERY WOMAN who optimized her options after pref night got a bid.
Oh, and quota was 29.

Hey, WCsweet, do you know results for the rest of UO? Sounds like KD had a great recruitment.
53 is another huge number which is wonderful after a decade or so of dropping numbers. When I went through recruitment, there were 12 sororities, four of which are now gone but I heard one is coming back which is also great.
GO DUCKS.

By the way, this is Kappa Delta's first recruitment at Dartmouth, I believe.

I enjoy the newspaper calling KD "Kappa Delt" throughout the entire article. Never heard that nickname before.

WVU_Alpha_Phi I've never heard KD referred to as Kappa Delt either! That's a new one for me!

I think (DartmouthPanhel can confirm) that Sigma Delta goes by "Sigma Delt" so it's probably just force of habit.
