My sister will be accepting her bid to PHI MU today at Randolph Macon in Virginia!
I am so excited for her! It was the one she liked all week - informal recruitment. Each night she would write me an email letting me know how it went (as I live in Ireland) and then when she woke up we would IM about it. Bids were available to be picked up after 12, and of course she had class until 1. I called her at 1.15 to find out what bids she was offered and she is just sooo excited for tonight! YAY!!

Since this thread's title had Spring of 2009 in it, I was wondering if informal rush in the Spring for soroities is always at a particular time. For example, is it in the actual Spring, say March or April, or is it actually more toward the beginning of the 2nd semester, say end of January beginning of February, since Fall rush is more toward the beginning of that semester? I hope this makes sense. For all I know, each school could be different. Just wondering. Thanks

It really varies by school. At some schools, informal is at the beginning of spring semester, while at others chapters hold events throughout the entire semester until like April. Every school does things differently.

If she went over to watch Gossip Girl last night, I was probably in the same house as her! Lol! I went to help with recruitment for the Kappa colony, and we used the side-yard/garage of the DG house. Oh, and I used their bathroom when they were watching GG.

Hey! Just found out that my biological little sisters roommate went Pi Phi at LSU. My little sister is a GDI right now but hopefully that will change.
