Woohoo for recruitment!
I've been lurking for awhile and now I want to post! I'm going to rush in August but I'd rather not say where until afterwards. I have most of my recs and all my clothes except something for the first day.
I hope to be wearing a pin in August!

If you don't mind saying, what groups do you have at your school? (Of course, if you're worried that would give it away, feel free not to answer.)
Oh, and welcome to GC!

Just wanted to say again how excited I am for all of you going through recruitment this fall, especially for those of you who have gone through before- I'm a strong believer that second chances can work out

aKDPhi is NOT affiliated with NPC nationally or in the process of doing so - or does someone else know something I don't? They do sometimes participate in the local Panhellenic Council but that is school by school.

I think that's what she meant and that's why the word affiliate is there.. maybe she accidently forgot the word "not" in the parenthesis meaning it's not nationally affiliated w/ NPC.

I don't believe they are affiliating either, I've heard nothing about it. Maybe they have plans to? For example, CERES would eventually like to join NPC, but they do not currently meet the membership criteria.

One more to add to the list! I'm finally going through formal recruitment this fall at Wichita State. It's from Aug 15-19, and they have for houses, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Phi, and Delta Delta Delta. In fact, I went shopping today, and got the perfect dress for preference round, assuming I get that far! I'm 21, but a sophomore, and WSU seems like a pretty relaxed school, so I think my chances are pretty good. If anyone has any tips or info on WSU, please write me!

Just as an FYI, things like this aren't the wisest to say. It's good you didn't mention orgs, because you never know who from your school could be posting on here...you might at first think that AB is awesome and QVC sucks, but after first rounds, you might feel totally different. (I used made up letters so nobody would be offended.) You might want to go look through older threads in this forum and the "Important" sticky threads at the top.
Edited to take out the original post, since it has been changed!
