Well in response to the original intent of the thread....
We were watching a guys' intramural game and saw one of our formal shirts on a girl that many of us know of...and not in a good way. I'm not sure that SHE is so awful, but her friends are notorious/infamous on campus and there IS something to be said about "guilty by association". Bottom line...it's not good advertisement for us. A Phi Mu commented on it before we got there and the girl's response was "Yeah, guess I'm an Alpha Gam for a night..."
Well, let me tell you how that went over with us. The Phi Mu said she kind of rolled her eyes and walked off after that, and we debated about saying something to her, but figured it was in our best interest to just shoot rather obvious dirty looks in the general direction instead of making a scene (because it would defintiely have turned into a scene). But it definitely didn't make any of us like her.
On a slightly off topic and happier note, I was working at a local store and went to scan a credit card...well what do you know it had red and buff roses on it, and turned out to be an Alpha Gam card...I got to have a nice chat with one of the alums of my chapter.

Original thread topics are overrated, I like when they get hijacked into a political discussion.
You dealt with that girl the right way though, nothing looks worse for a sorority then having girls get in fights.

Yeah, I've had times where I wanted to say something catty to someone at a party or whatever...but I didn't because it would reflect badly on our chapter. I know our advisers tell us to represent Kappa at all times, and it's TRUE! Our province's director of chapters that if we did something we didn't want the president of KKG or our grandma to see, we shouldn't be doing it. :-)

Yea, most of the stuff that makes you look bad to nationals also makes you look bad to any guy that actually has respect for women. The only exception is [social] underaged drinking, which is just normal.
A lot of freshman girls like to get hammered drunk at socials and crushes not realizing that they are attracting attention to themselves in a negative light. And everyone knows that rule #92 of wedding crashing is to draw attention to yourself, but on your own terms.

I do the same thing! Letters mean so much and more than just who might come across them but respect for what they mean... I can't trash that

Some of us don't have the luxury of having the time to do that shit.
You should say the same thing to the active sisters when you rush this fall.

unfortunantely shirts/clothing with letters get passed around all the time - i find greek shirts at goodwill/salvation army and friends will buy the ones they find with my letters on them.
basically not everyone treats their letters the same way

SRSLY??? Maybe as stupid as someone who has already informed us that she is not Greek telling Greeks what they should do with their letters?
Can we please let this thread die (AGAIN) now? The "Embarrsing" title is driving me nuts.

There are at least 10 threads here about tshirt quilts. We're well aware of the concept.

Sweetie just put her on ignore already and stop responding. She's not gonna quit.
And now...Back to the original snark-free posting please!

15 yr old high school student in Norwalk, CT bought an AKA sweatshirt while on a college tour and decided it would be a good idea for her to wear it!! This video takes place after I educated the young woman that she should not/can not/will not "ever" wear something she hasn't earned the right to wear. The young woman tells me that all day people have been telling her not to wear the shirt.....
