I agree with y'all, the whole Tyra/Mom conversation... did we really need that? I must say I'm amazed that Tyra was able to tear up like that. I guess she'll need that ability for her new talk-show, cause Lord knows Oprah has mastered the skill.

I also think it was time for Norelle to go home. If she wins, I'm going to be so pissed.

And the reason Trya gave for choosing the winner, the whole thing about one wanting it more than the other... BS. If that was the case, Tocarra should not have gone home, IMO.

Now, YaYa is really getting on my nerves. I was rooting for her big time at first, but her attitude stinks. She is really starting to remind me of Elyse from the first season. I was mad at Eva last week for her comments about the facial for YaYa, but I see why she doesn't like the girl. I'm still rooting for both of them, but homegirl need to work on that attitude.

ETA:
Can someone explain to my why YaYa told Tocarra to go read there faces (the photographer's face after she took her photos)? Clearly, she could tell they weren't feeling her pics, why did Tocarra need to see that? I think that killed her confidence, and that's what ultimately got her sent home.

I saw it as something that both Yaya and Toccarra could do to see how the photographer's felt about their photos.

I am sorry but if I willingly let a spider crawl on me, do not expect my photo to be good.

Last night I logged on to chat with Toccarra. But she wasn't there. I just wanted to tell her I am really proud of her and there are thousands of Black girls and women who saw a part of themselves in her this season. That was my first time ever logging on to chat with the model voted off.

Now while I agree YaYa's attitude was a little ummm..."smelly", I just did not appreciate how within that pile of hats was a so-called "kente" hat. It looked cheap and I'm sure it was placed there deliberately and that tacky-Jennifer Beals-Flashdance-knockoff stylist just "knew" Yaya was going to pick it. I wanted to slap the ************************************* out of her. YaYa should have kept her cool a little bit but when you have ignorant A- people baiting you it can be a difficult thing to do.

HOW could they have sent Tocarra home??!?? She looks gorgeous in photos and she looks gorgeous in front of television cameras. Ann looks like old dirty dishwater.

sniffle, We'll miss you T.

Did anyone see the previews for next week? It seems like the other girls get on Yaya for being overconfident. I have seen such a huge change in her personality in recent episodes.

If Norelle could learn to walk and act A LOT more mature, she could be good model material. But for now, she is a complete IDIOT. How dumb do you have to be to name names?! Hadn't she just spoken to consultants about this?

I am so upset T is gone too . Of all the girls, she was the only one who said she enjoyed working with the tarantula! Talk about winning personality and flexibility! I think her eyes look really pretty right there too! Didn't Tyra call Toccara one of her faves during the convo with her mom? I definitely thought ANTM folks staged that whole convo too. It just did not flow with the rest of the show either.

Now if Ann could just be in the bottom 2 next week and get outta there!!! I think she is sort of conceited and thinks she has the look so she doesn't try to hard. I think her makeup is what kept her in last week. I don't know if it was so much about her ability.

Eva's pic looked amazing. Go ahead girl.

And Amanda. Yes her comments about her blindness are driving me nuts!!!! It's like she has to mention it at every opportunity!

Toccarra's Chat Transcript

Question: T, I'm so upset that you're not on the show. It seemed the judges were hard on you. How did you feel when Tyra didn't call your name?

Answer: I'm upset too, that I'm not he show. What a huge mistake. I was very shocked that Tyra didn't call my name and speechless I really thought she was going to call my name when she said there's someone here who wants it more, and I really wanted it more.

Q: I was in total shock when you got eliminated were you shocked or did you have a feeling that you might be getting eliminated

A: Yes, I knew my time was coming soon because the panel had already told us that there were favors and Nole last week said that America wasn't ready for a plus sized top model, so I know they were trying to get rid of me.

Q: how does it feel to be the first plus sized person on the show

A: It's a great feeling and I'm glad I had the opportunity to represent fuller figured women and they chose the right one and I think this gives other full figured women a chance to break into the modeling world and be more comfortable with themselves.

Q: Tocarra was it hard getting complaints about being a plus size model

A: It got old after a while. I knew I was the only plus size model on the show and I want to be the first black plus size super model in the world, and it's going to be hard, but that's what i'm here for -- to break down barriers and change the way that people look at plus size models.

Q: Toccara, I feel Janice was a bit wishy washy with you, in the beginning she really seemed to like you and thought "you had what it takes" but towards the end her opinion changed. what do you think about htis?

A: I think janice is just doing her job and I think that is just a character and honestly, i just let that roll off my back. janice is more like the "simon" of amerca's top model.

Q: tocarra, it seems that you had a special bond with Tyra and she was constantly trying to lift you up and give you tips. in the end did you find this to add more pressure?

A: Tyra was great and i'm so happy that she was in my corner and it makes me feel special to know that she was supportive of me, and no I don't think there was more pressure.

Q: I don't li ke janice dickerson, what did you think of her saying all of those negative comments last week and then this week she was being fake?

A: That's the industry for you. It's a fickle world. one week that're not going to like you, the next week they're going to give you love and you just have to take it with a grain of salt.

Q: How do you find the strength to be a vivacious as you are when the industry essentially caters to thin girls?

A: I think that is the best and this is what i want to do. I was born with it and I have to give thanks to God. I'm blessed. You have to be strong in this industry. You have to think that you're the best thing since sliced bread so no one can tear you down.

Q: Toccara was it fun being there with Tyra?

A: Absolutely. It was great. I think Tyra handled herself very well. She was the producer, the host and the mentor and I think she wore every hat well, she did her job well and I admire her for that.

Q: Did you get along with Ann and Eva?

A: I liked Ann and Eva when they were separate. Each was cool when they were by themselves, and then you put them together and there's this weird chemistry, but they are great i ndividuals.

Q: What are your thoughts about Amanda being visually impaired and being on the show trying to be a top model?

A: I am so tired of talking about Amanda. Each week she's always saying "i'm legally blind" and i'm tired of giving her air time. I don't want to talk about her.

Q: What do you think of YaYa winning 3 contests in a row?

A: I think that's absolutely fantastic, i'm so happy for Yaya. I think that was great, especially beacuse she picked me for one of them.

Q: What were your opinions of Mr. and Mrs. Jay?

A: I am absolutely crazy over Mrs. Jay. That is my girl! Mrs. Jay made me feel really quite comfortable and I felt really great when Mrs Jay was around, and no comment for Mr. Jay.

Q: Hey T, what did you really think when the judges said "the world is not ready for a plus size model"?

A: America's Next Top Model is not ready for a plus size top model, but America's ready, and it's way overdone, and they're going to eat their words.

Q: Toccara, I am plus size how did you deal with the harsh critisem and being the only plus size. You were the best.

IA: t was easy for me to deal with it because i'm comfortable with myself and I know who I am and what I want to do and where I want to go, and so I chose not to let them predict who or what I was going to be.

Q: Toccara, I have to agree with the judges last night when they said you seemed to run out of steam...did you or were you just having a bad day?

A: I don't think that I ran out of steam. I think that's just their personal opinion, and I think that it's a shame that they think I have come in there and be like "Hi. Hello, like you totally freak me out" to show personality.

Q: If you had the chance to do it all over again, would you?

A: Of course I would and I wouldn't change a single thing. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Q: Who did you think did the best "model walk"?

A: Toccara! Did you see her on the Heatherette Fashison show? She was awesome!

Q: What do you think of YaYa?

A: I love Yaya. I think Yaya is great. A beautiful girl. A lot of self confidence, very regal, great personality. I think Yaya and I will be friends forever.

Q: What is your greatest challenge in life tocarra?

A: Finishing my degree. since I was on the show and now that it's over, and i'm sure i'll be getting a lot of offers, I think it's going to be a challenge for me to finish my education.

Q: Toccara, I am so upset that you got cut last night. I really wanted you to win this and be the one of the few african american plus size models. Are you still going to pursue your dream of modeling. I want to see your picture in some magazines girls!

A: Of course i'm going to continue pursuing my dreams of being the world's first black plus size supermodel. this show is just a stepping stone and you're going to see me everywhere. i'm going to grace the cover of all your favorite magazines and be the first black plus size model.

Q: toccara, who is the most down to earth girl in the house?

A: I'd have to say yaya and kelle and eva. they were all down to earth, i think.

Q: do you have excersizing tips? how often do you got to the gym?

A: I am on a smaller scale of plus size. I"m a 12-14, so I can't afford to lose my dress size because I would no longer be in the plus size category, so when it comes to exercising, I just have to stay toned up. I try to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and try to keep myself toned.

Q: Toccara, where did you get your amazing sense of humor?

A: LIfe. you can't take everything seriously. if you walk around with a chip on your shoulder, you're never going to succeed, so you have to be able to laugh sometimes

Q: Toccara, I was so angry when they put you in that orange gas attendant shirt for the dual photo shoot, what was going thru your mind? I mean these people are fashion designers, they couldn't have done something to it?

A: I was totally surpirsed that she put me in that big orange shirt especially because everyone else had slacks, and dresses then she put me in this oversize orange shirt and some khakis and I was totally confused. I think that was her job to style me and I think she could have tried a little bit harder.

Q: Tocarra, how did you feel about being voted covergirl of the week 4 tiems in a row by viewers?

A: That is so awesome. That keeps me going. that keeps my fire burning. that just lets me know that america loves me and that's the best feeling in the world because the viewers are th ones that are going to buy the magazine and purchase whatever product that i'm endorsing, and so it's an indescrible feeling. and thank everyone who voted.

Q: Did you like the platinum hair that they gave you in the mustang photo shoot?

A: Absolutely! I loved it. I was F-a-b-o!

Q: Hey Tocarra! Do you still have your "extended" wig attached to your nature hair?

A: Yes I do.

Q: Who are your celebrity crushes?

A: I think i'll get in trouble if I tell you that.

Q: Who inspires you Tocarra? Who are your role models?

A: I'm totally inspired by Queen Latifah, Monique, Star Jones. They are a great inspiration for me. My role models are Jamaica who is a lady that i met when I was 9 years old, and who has been supportive, and a plus sized model named Sharon Quinn who is marvelous.

Q: What do you think about Eva's attitude when she had to pose with the spider?

A: I don't think Eva had an attitude when she had to post with the spider. I think it was just a fear and I think she was great because she overcame her fear.

Q: What are three most important skills you feel you have learned from being on the show..from make up tips to dressing your role

A: I learned to beat my face. I also learned to be more aware of myself. Of every part of my body from head to toe and to be aware of my prouduct or whatever it is that i'm selling.

Q: I would not even consider you to be plus sized model..can you please tell me what are weight requirements to be plus size model? I truly am interested in breaking into modeling but not sure if I fit the mold of plus size? Please help

A: There is not a weight requirement for plus size modeling. It's strictly on your size and your measurements. the plus size modeling starts at a size 12 and goes to a 16-18, I believe. a lost of people don't consider me to be a plus size model because i'm the average size of an american woman, but in the modeling world, i am plus size becuare you're goingg ffrom a size 2-4 to a size 12-14 and that's a major leap.

Q: The situation with last weeks photoshoot I too felt how you were feeling. I mean why were you given such a boring ensemble? However would you have played out your emotions differently if given a chance now to?

A: I think my photo shoot last week was absolutely gorgeous and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Yes, I was a little sad about the choice of clothes that they picked for me, but by the same token, I decided that if I had to wear an orange shirt and some khakis then I was going to wear it well and what you don't see is that I bounced back and I think my photo turned out great and I wouldn't change it.

Q: Is there room in this world for a plus size couture?

A: Of course there is and that's why i'm here to prove that plus size women can do couture.

Q: What was the toughest part of the competition while you were on the show?

A: Running up the stairs. I just knew that I could not come in last. I had to beat somebody, so i'm really proud of myself and my pictures turned out great.

Q: T, that dress you wore for the runway did Eva put that string in the dress or did it come that way? It seemed like she doctored it up for you.

A: Eva's not that nice. The string came with the dress and we were just making it even on both sides.

Q: Why don't the fancy expensive designers make clothing in larger sizes? It seems like there is such a great market out there.

A: I know, right? It's a 65$ billion industry -- plus size fashion is, and it's a shame that they keep ignoring that and hopefully, i'll be able to make a change or some type of impression in the european designer's way of thinking.

Q: What was your favorite photo shoot? Why?

A: The mustang photo shoot. That's my favorite picture out of them all. i love it. i think the photo of me in the orange shirt, i feel as if i resemble my mother, and the glamor girl is so my alter ego and that is so me. it was so fabulous. it may be hard to believe, but I actually had a great day that day.

Q: What's your biggest disappointment doing each challenge, each photoshoot? Because it seemed like there was always a set back for you based on your size.

A: I try not to let my size become an issue. It was an issue, but I didn't want to harp on it, to complain because this is such a great opportunity. i just felt that i'm a model and whatever you give me i'm going to wear and wear well. so tried not to let them bring me down.

Q: how was it to be in an actual photo shoot?

A: It was da bomb! I have done previous photo shoots, but never anything like this and I know that i want to be a plus size super model and I was always a little apprehensive about if I could actually do the big girl stuff and because of this show, I know I can. Like jumping on the trampoline, the spider, so It just gave me confirmation that i can do this. Everybody has their moment. It's 24/7, and so everyone is not always going to have their camera face on. It's reality. and that's just people personality, that's just life.

Q: I am a plus size black female with the same boobs and you have and I was crushed to see you leave last night. but keep your head up and alwaays love you. remember skinny went out with muscle shirts.

A: Thank you. i really appreciate your support make sure you keep those puppies supported. that's a must. you're right about those skinny girls, too.

Q: do you have any advice for those of us full figured women who'd like to model.

A: don't let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. curves are beautiful, embrace them, and follow your dreams and don't take "no" for an answer.

Q: I think you are fabulous! and your exit speech was inspiring and graceful, you should be proud. what is next for your since the show?

A: Thank you very much. You know what's next. i'm going to be the first black plus size super model in the world, of course. this definitely won't be the last time that you'll see me.

I would like to thank everybody for chatting with me today. it's been a pleasure. Keep your head up because dreams do come true.

OH, LAWD, NO!!!! Toccara gone, momma!! She gone!!

I'm so upset they let Toccara go OVER ANN. What in the world? First of all, she looked a hot, funky mess in that tank and skirt with those eskimo boots. What? She's a mess. They even said that Ann looked a mess and she didn't act like she wanted to be there. I think they actually asked Toccara to calm down, but then in Wednesday night's show, they were complaining that her personality had been "locked up". They need to make up their minds. And to be honest, I don't believe Toccara changed who she was at all. She was professional when need be. She was voted covergirl of the week (or whatever it's called) almost every week, I believe, so what's the big deal. She's F-A-B-O-"fabulous". I believe we'll still see her somewhere in the limelight real soon.

Read this on another website.

Quote:
What is most upsetting is the way this episode was edited and how carefully the judges' comments were worded in order to promote the theory that the fabulous Ms. Toccara was booted because she (gasp!) didn't seem to want it badly enough this week. Especially since last week's episode displayed quite clearly the modeling industry's prejudice against plus-size models. Instead, the judges harped on how Toccara ''checked out'' and lost her vivaciousness. But it's hard to believe she suddenly lost her personality in the space of a week.
Besides, if lack of personality were grounds for getting kicked off the show, Nicole would have been gone by episode 2.

I completely agree, and even Tyra said 2 weeks back that she doesn't feel like she even knows Nicole. That she doesn't seem to be very lively, etc. It's clear they have been looking for a reason to boot Toccara

Unhappy

I really wanted Ann to go but I knew they would keep her. The judges are trying to give Ann a chance to redeem herself; they don't want to give up on her.

Ann needs to learn how to hold her mouth in photos, she always looks like the photographer caught her off guard.

Regardless of how they spin it, Tocarras booting was entirely due to her size. She had to work twice as hard to get half as far, but I think she'll still get in the limelight in some way or another.

Why don't they just stop getting these girls hopes up (those who fall into the plus-size category)?

Some of these women are BEAUTIFUL but Tyra 'n 'nem know daggone well they are not going to "allow" a plus-size model to win this "competition."

It's already bad enough they are giving some of these mid-20s women the false impression that they can have a long, fruitful modeling career when you have girls starting out as early as 12 and 13.

I am bummed that Toccara is gone - Nicole has the personality of a piece of paper and Ann doesn't photograph well - but I'm glad she stayed on as long as she did to get the exposure. I would bet that she'll have the longest career as a working model (not necessarily a supermodel) of all of them.

I was ready to put the stylist through a wall when she was criticizing what they had in their wardrobes - umm hello, I don't think they brought all the clothes they own, their choices are somewhat limited - and at the end. There was a huge article in the Sept. Vogue about the models they feature now - the ones that all look like starving Romanian prostitutes. They're all like "I don't care about fashion," "I just show up at work, I don't pay attention to what I wear" etc. Not that I necessarily agree with that, but it's not like you have to show up at a photo shoot and stylize it. I'm sure there are stars and models who would show up on the red carpet in sweats if they didn't have stylists.

Boo on this being the last season.

What cracks me up about some of the people on the Surreal Life is that they act like they still have a career (or never had a career at all). Ryan Starr sure was uppity for someone who didn't win on American Idol.

Tyra has to cancel the show before her ENTIRE hairline disappears. And nobody wants that to happen.
