What in the world gave you that idea? Because I don't use vulgar language, or what?

You're into genealogy, you're a member of DAR, you work with senior citizens, and you've been divorced a time or two.

I went into the DAR when I was 18, I've been around genealogy & genealogists since I was a baby, and I've only been divorced once (short marriage).
I'm currently wearing Reebok Cross-Trainers, and only recently quit playing competetive soccer.
Old. cheez!

It's probably because you don't have a cool song on your myspace.

1) Poor clock management. Both at the end of the first half, when they had momentum and opportunity to score, and in the second half, when they used up all of their timeouts, leaving them with nothing when they had the ball and the chance to score. They needed a chance to compose themselves and figure out how to get two scores.
2) Missed field goals. Yeah, they were both 50+ yards, but the kicker has made a number of 50+. It's indoors, no wind. No one got a hand on the ball. Both had more than enough air behind them (hell, they had enough air to be 60 yards!), but neither was on target.
3) Seattle's not being able to complete the big pass in bounds. Had some great plays and great passes, but slightly overthrown and the inability of the receiver to get his feet in bounds.
I'm sure there are many others, but these are my top three most obvious
About Seattle being the better team- better teams get the job done, period. Better teams don't lose by 11 points. Both teams played ugly, both QBs played like crap. But the Steelers handled it and won. Seattle couldn't and didn't handle it, and did not get the job done.
To make excuses, to call your team the "better" team even though they lost, smacks of poor sportsmanship and sour grapes.
People, it is just a game. Chill with the nasty posts and attacking people.
|
I don't think that it is poor sportsmanship to say that a team that lost was still the better overall team. There have been many outstanding teams that have lost to lesser opponents. Its bad sportsmanship if you pull a Matt Leinart and and gloat about how you are still better than who you lost and that the game was a fluke. I watched three different shows onn ESPN and all of the football analysts said that the officials definitely affected the outcome of the game.
The only question of clock management was at the end of the first half when Seattle audibled twice and used up 22 seconds.

Bottom line and I'm out: At least I sent an email of congratulations to the Seahawks for a good season. I try to be a good sport because, again, don't get involved in a competition that you can't afford to lose. Don't like the outcome? PM me your address and I'll send you some cheese.
