I always tell my boys "if you go out and get hit by a bus, I'd rather my last earthly image of you be from the last time we kicked it, not laid out in a coffin." But as I said, funerals are for the living, not the deceased.
This is why I don't look at people in coffins. That is just an eery image to have in my head. I'll go to the funeral, but I don't view the body. I don't want to remember someone that way.

^^ and the body in the coffin never looks like the person did "in life". I can't imagine taking pictures. For what? You are going to sit and reminisce about the funeral? And videotaping it? When do you feel the urge to pull out a videotape of someone's funeral to watch it? How does that happen?

I didn't know it at the time, but my mother's funeral was videotaped. I am actually looking forward to seeing it. Her Pastor's eulogy was beautiful and everyone told me that the words I spoke were so touching. I wrote my remarks out, but ad libbed quite a bit and don't remember much of what I said. I saw my mom, but I was adament that the casket would be closed before the family went in. No final "parting glance" and folks trying to climb in the casket for us. We had already said our goodbyes by that point.

Wow, this is the chick that left Randy Jackson after having kids to marry Jermaine. She actually looks like she has more sense than that.

Their little son, Elliott, is very cute. I've seen pictures of Mrs. DeNiro on the New York Social Diary site. She's a former flight attendant. I'm not mad at Grace. She worked it out, LOL.

Question Coming next...Star and BGA become parents?

Page Six
November 24, 2004 -- WE survived the wedding — next might come Star "Bridezilla" Jones's baby. The large and in-charge star of "The View" — who has never publicly admitted she had stomach-stapling surgery — has been losing the lard to improve her chances of conceiving with new hubby Al Reynolds. "Everyone assumed Star was dieting to become the perfect bride," an insider tells InTouch Weekly. "While that was a factor, she really wants a baby and knows her chances will improve with every pound lost." Jones' weight loss is for health reasons, said spokeswoman Jennifer Plante: "She's losing weight because she wants to be as healthy as she can be."

Our local paper here reports that Matthew Knowles told a London paper he doesn't care for Jay Z at all and tries to spend as little time as possible with him. I wonder if Daddy's feelings will have real impact if B decides to marry the Jay.

What is up with famous (or relatively famous) white men getting with Black flight attendants? Bill Mahr (from Politically Incorrect) was date a supposed flight attendant and now she's suing him for millions.
