Is J Moss the guy who sings "We must Praise"? I love that song if that's him!

Don't say that!!! But I did LOL at this comment. I'm tired of all this pop locking, wanta pop lock, pop the hips side to side, do something with your booty and walk like a run way model type of stuff. In their early days DC use to work it out in their videos and their videos were great. Now their doing stuff that B did for her solo CD...come out with something fresh.

Why am I loving Snoop's new song and video?!!!

I have fallen in love with John Legend. That boy is FINE!!! He would not feel that way if he was with me.

95% of the time, I don't really care for Fabolous, but I am really digging his new single and video "Breathe".

Talking *sigh* I love Hip-Hop

Well, I finally got my own copy of Mos Def's The New Danger and Talib's Beautiful Struggle. It's official. Talib Kweli is my favorite lyricist. I like this CD better than Quality.

BUT, Dante Smith can be my Boogeyman ANY day and I WILL give him The Panties. Cuz those two songs are HOT. I like Ghetto Rock, too. This CD is so smooth and sexy and jazzy and eclectic. I like, I like.

These two CDs will keep me happy for a while. A long, long while.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE!!

Beautiful Struggle is T-I-G-H-T!! Mos drives me a bit with the way he yells "Boogeyman" through the background of most of the songs, but it's OK. He's still my baby!

*sigh* please don't make me fight you. You got Nas. You got Jigga. And now you want MyFuturePretendPhallicRelationsPartner? STOP BEIN' SO GREEDY!!! :P

But for real, lemme ask you this. You got the Lyricist Lounge 2 CD? My CDs are still packed in a box (sad, cuz I moved three months ago) so I can't get to mine. Track 5 off of The New Danger sounds like a song off the LL2 CD. As a matter of fact, I know it's on there. I'ma pull out my CD when I get home and see what it is. And I'ma look that CD up online now so I can see, lol.

You're right. My bad! I can't be greedy like that.

No, I don't have that disc. Sounds like something I need to get. I may need to check out Amazon Marketplace...

This is off topic, but has anyone been to the Def Poetry Jam Live Tour? I don't want to waste my money and buy tickets for something that is wack. I LOVE the HBO program and I am sure that I will like the live performances. Is Mos going out with this tour or not? I need to get to the bottom of this.

The song and video is cool. Beyonce wants everybody to believe that she is a high class diva, but she has some 'hood in her. It's slowly but surely coming out. Kelly and Michelle are trying to become a little bit sexier. Did y'all see Kelly in that white bathing suit, a la "Baby Boy" video? Solange was HUUUUUUGE!!!!

Hol' up now, Gina!! Don't make me challenge you to a duel!!

Mos, track 5, it's not on LL2

It's from a Jay-Z song I think. My goodness, this is killin' me. Help.

Anyway, I've been reading reviews of Mos' CD and people don't like it!!! Can you believe that? I just saw it compared to Electric Circus (which I LOVED) and The Love Below (which I also, love). But why is it that Andre got MUCH more love for his eclectic CD than did Mos? What is THAT about?

ETA: I'm convinced that someone other than a black person is writing most of these reviews, because somebody just dissed The Panties. Come ON, now.

I'm not a DC fan, nor B but...

Re: DC

I'm a bit disappointed. I mean B's writing on her solo project showed that she HAD grown. Ummmmmmm can you also show that growth on DCs project(s)? It's the SAME ole same ole...very trite and contrived...IMO

I guess I was looking for MORE.

Maybe my expectations are too high?
