Kings taking T-wolves to a Game 7....outstanding.

Garnett should've been ejected as well.

As much as I love him, I WISH he was ejected. However, he let his cooler head prevail and was able to stay in due to a technicality.

Favorite moment of the game...

Saunders was able to select who would shoot the free throws and he selected the benchwarmer to shoot and he sunk both shots. YAY!!!!!

That WAS the absolute best moment of the game!

If Peeler is suspended for the next game, and Garnett gets to play, I think it might actually work in the Kings' favor and get them fired up to beat the Twolves even though they were "punished" for the shot Peeler made on Garnett (even though Garnett provoked the shot, and he probably should be punished as well!)

Soror, you know that KG is a star and there's no way those refs were going to run him. Peeler is a benchwarmer, so he was going to be kicked off. Also, KG is a yoga practitioner (or so I heard this morning on sports radio), so that's one reason for his inner calm.

Yes, I have a tight little smile on my face this morning. The Lakers showed they can throw the switch on and win four straight (helped, of course, by Derek Fisher and a timely shot).

But there are still eight wins left to go before a new championship trophy can be hoisted. I'm pleased that the Lakers closed the Spurs out in six games for rest purposes. And I have no preference whether the Lakers play the Kings or the Timberwolves (although I think they can steal a game at the Target Center).

Also, I don't want to see the Lakers come back from another 2-0. The West is too good a conference.

Shaq didn't score as much as I like to see him do so, but he provided great board work, blocked shots and caused some altering of shots. Other than TD, no Spur starter stepped it up.
Derek Fisher's last second Heroics broke their back. As much as they tried, the Spurs couldn't pull it off. I saw a stat on NBA Fastbreak that mention the Lakers' Starters averaged 44.2 minutes. I see why they want to close the door on the Spurs as fast as they can.

I said this was coming

NBA suspends Peeler for two games. KG, with his $126M contract, symmetry, and mad game, gets a $7.5K fine.

Yeah, but when Miller was putting his hand in his face, he didn't really show that inner calm, now did he?

Now, how is this a just decision? Yes, Peeler aimed for the head, and he should have gotten a "punishment". However, Garnett, with his "inner calm" should have let the incident go (the elbowing in the gut 20 seconds earlier) rather than instigate the blow to the head with his elbow to the chest.

Many other players do similar (if not more damaging) blows to one another and are not fined, never mind suspended.

Kings are going to come out pissed off....and you can bet BJ will do everything he can to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's game.

CTHU at KG not showing that inner calm. Remember, I'm just the messenger, LOL.

The Peeler decision doesn't seem just, but remember, the NBA is a league of stars and I have a feeling (putting on my conspiracy hat here) that David Stern didn't want to deprive the viewing audience of the new league MVP for a pivotal Game 7.

No, I know....I'm not shooting the messenger, I promise

Your theory makes sense, but I still think it's going to give the Kings the incentive to dig down deeper than they've ever dug before and pull out the game of their lives to defeat the Twolves and then face the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals....IF that doesn't happen, I'll become a Eastern Conference cheerer (because I don't like the Lakers and I can't find it in myself to CHEER for them, even if they're facing the Twolves )
