AXWhoah-Lows- Leaving home for the last time, I graduate in May and (hopefully) won't be moving home so this was my last extended stay here...
Now what the hell is wrong with me?????? I read this and my eyes filled up with TEARS! I can't even blame the hormones anymore. I know this day is not too far away..............

Awww, Justamom I know how you feel. My eyes have welled up with tears more than once in the last couple of months. When your kids come to this point, don't be sad, be proud cause without you they would never have reached that point. And I know that I'll visit home often and call often. No worries JAM

I found Sullivan-he ran in front of my car last night.
I know he wants to be indoor/outdoor but I see so many terrible things I can't let him outside.
Thanks AXO alum for your positive thoughts-they payed off

YIPEE!! Glad he came home safely! Its so hard to keep a cat inside when he has that need to roam around! I had to keep Jinx locked up inside for 2 months when he was just a kitten (because my apt. didn't allow pets, but I couldn't turn him away!) -- he would get so mad about not being let outside. When we moved, and he was allowed outside, he would be gone for days at a time. Of course he was also known to come running inside to use the litter box!! LOL - some habits die hard!
JAM -- sending you cyber hugs -- so sorry that you are feeling sad about everything. You are a wonderful mom (to a lot of people ) and you should be proud of raising them.

Highs:
-Had a great time with the Mr--made final plans to move in together in the fall
-Enjoying relaxing and not having anything to do
-Digital cable allows me to watch anything I want
-I did very well this semester with minimal effort
Lows:
-Sudden death in the family. It's not impacting me too much, but I see the stress on my parents.
-Too much family! Aaaaah! I want these people out of my house.
-Not having anything to do. I have NO FRIENDS left in town from high school.
-I miss my friends from undergrad so much!
----
JAM, you might be surprised at how soon saying goodbye to children doesn't last. Many of my friends who graduated ended up living at home for a few years after graduation for whatever reason--or moved back altogether! It's always home!

Sorry to hear of the death...
I remember going home and everyone had moved. It felt so empty. I couldn't wait to get back to my girl and guy friends. That's kind of when it hit me I really was entering a new stage of life.
I know what you mean about moving home though. I see a lot of it here. Most is related to economics but there's an upswing in the daughters moving back with their children after a divorce.
My own sister did this. It was really good for the kids, helped keep my Mom young, but I don't know how good it was for my sister.
Moving in together, hmmmmmmmm DOES YOUR MOMMY KNOW!!!

Ha ha ha! She wasn't too happy with it, until I reminded her that I wanted to finish graduate school before I get married. Now she's taking it a bit better.
I only have one high right now--I had a very good dentist's appointment! Apparently all that flossing has paid off!

Highs-Son is initiated and he is so very happy. He has really matured this past semester.
Daughter brought home a "friend". He is so great. We all played spades and he LIKES MY COOKING! Good guy! Who knows where this will lead, but at least I know she's looking at decent men!
Lows-Daughter leaves today and son leaves tomorrow. This was
a GREAT visit all the way around and I hate to see it end.
I floss! Feels so good to get rid of the gunk that can collect.
Have you ever seen someone who had so much plaque you couldn't distinguish the individual teeth? YUCK!

I always floss. I also use the ultrasonic cleaner-I love it
Highs: making plans for my house remodel, I am so excited. I keep coming up with new ideas everyday-better start working more overtime
I finally stopped smoking-I quit cold turkey, it gets easier everyday.
Lows: breakfast tacos. I am trying to lose 10# by my birthday but damn those breakfast tacos. They are everywhere here in Austin and one of my worst addictions (not to mention queso and salsa). They are so hard to give up.

*No class tomorrow because of the MLK holiday!

*My big is a recruitment counselor and I can't see her until bid day on Feb. 2.

*blushes* -- awww, I was just trying to help you through this mess!! I can't wait to hear from you!
My highs:
Earning some great points towards my trip to Atlantis!!!
Lows:
My mother - she just cannot stay away from other people's business....namely mine!! I know that she didn't mean to hurt my feelings, but she did, and now she won't even be woman enough to apologize! She just says that I made something out of nothing. So much for validation of emotions with her! UGH!

welcome to the new year, yall! hope rush (if applicable) is going/has gone well and that everything else is well, too.
highs:
I am getting a kitten tomorrow, unless this crappy weather continues. Her name is Dolce (at the humane society it was shortcake ... so it fits in that it still is something sweet). She is black except for white on her chest and front paws.
lows:
this icy/sleety/cold weather
all the work I have to do before I teach class tom.
