Okay, to try to move on...
I pledged at Lock Haven University in central PA, and then moved into our chapter house. The room I moved into was supposedly haunted by a young boy. From time to time, the closet door (the closet was an after-build, much newer than the house was) would open on its own. The door would open, the room door would open, and the door to another sister's room would open...in a row like that.
It was a little weird, but since he never seemed to bother anything else, you just got used to falling asleep with doors closed and latched, and waking up to them open.
The house is now gone, a victim to the state's flood control efforts. They made ZTA move out (and the fraternity next door) a couple of years after I left school.

I dont want anyone to get mad at me, but she was wrong to post all that and keep posting. It is something that didnt happen and we need to respect them and quit talking about it and posting about, but can we all try to think of other fiction stories that wont hurt an org and talk about them. I like to hear these things, the ones that dont hurt other people, so I dont want to see this thread deleted.
I reads somewhere way back in threads someone saw a ohio link to colleges and universities of ghost stories. Anyone ever read the Ohio Ghost stories? They have like tons of books written all about Ghost sightings in Ohio. I always read them so I can brush up on where I may encounter a ghost. I can honestly say Ive never seen one, but if its a friendly one, Id love to be able to say I have oneday. If its a mean one, count me out. lol

Well, life is a learning experience, and just because you saw the grave does not mean that the story behind it is true. I can understand how upset you feel about the KKK thing, but you need to realize that there is not a single GLO that has not had it's share of the same. Stories and rumors are abundant for anything in life. You just need to learn to take such things with a grain of salt, and step back, and let some things go. In the end, most of it is not worth the effort.
Hang in there.

Wow, i think that i would totally lose it if that happened to me all of the time...
I've read about the Ohio University ghosts and it depends on who you ask if the stories are true or not...most commonly everyone says that it's the most haunted place in America, there's a pentagram made up of the cemetaries, etc. But some alumni say that it's bogus and you can't prove the pentagram thing using maps and that there is no evidence of a Native American burial site under the university...but it makes for good stories though!

When I was a student at the University of Toledo in the early 80s, the fraternities all had houses off campus (for those UT students on GC, the "Village" was a forest, and the SWAC was a Value City store, and Carter Hall was an all-guys dorm, otherwise known as the football dorm). They all had interesting pasts too. The Sig Ep house had been a brothel (they kept the red lights above the doors too). The Phi Psi house had been a funeral home. The guys who lived there insisted it was haunted and called the ghost "Mrs B". I never saw anything wierd and can't remember the stories in any more detail than that but I do remember that it was very believable.

lock haven?! i grew up in williamsport and had friends who went to lock haven. cool!
anyhow, when i was talking to a few sisters from the ohio u chapter of sigma kappa, they were telling me how they have a ghost in their house. just adds to how haunted that campus really is. ironically, i was accepted there, but declined in lue of miami. now i'm sort of happy i did (no offense to ou students) b/c i get a very eery feeling any time i ever to to athens, let alone the campus.

My chapter has a ghost named Mary. Supposedly she hung herself out the window right next to our Pin light! People who live in room 4 always have weird stuff going on and I know living in room 6 I had some freaky stuff happening in there like things being rearranged and also doors/drawers opening with no one there.
The TKE house on campus used to be a ZTA chapter in which on the third floor a girl was raped supposedly. (It's located on the corner of Hampton and Crown!) The third floor is condemned and the ghost supposedly "moved" across the street to the Alpha Chi house when the TKEs took control of the house. There's also talk of the old Beta Theta Pi house (which is now part of the Christian Theological Semniary) being haunted because their house mom was raped in the house.
I don't know if any of this is true. All I can say is that there sure were a lot of rapes at Butler if the stories are true!

Individual posts within this thread can be deleted by the author if you really are sorry.......that would be my recommendation if you really weren't looking to stir up trouble.

When did the Sigma Nu's live in your house?. I never heard this story before.
And I know where the third flood bathroom is located
Later P.S.: I just spoke with my Big Sister, a Gamma Phi sister.
While she barely recalled the Sigma Nu's living in the house, she never heard
anything about the death. She said that she would look into it as she was
now curious about it.

god yall got me so scared
thankfully fraternities and sororities are not allowed to have houses or floors in dorms.....and our campus was built in the 1970s and before May, there hadn't been a murder on campus.
i guess i can share one possible scary story (well we all think the room will be haunted now). our campus built a brand new Georgian style dorm last summer which opened up last fall. there was Curtis who claimed that he had been homeschooled his whole life when he came to school. he was kind of creepy and a lot of the kids in the dorm didn't really like him. well then there was Jessica, this girl who felt bad for Curtis and befriended him. Curtis started stalking Jessica because he wanted to date her but she just wanted to remain friends. well the last day of exams, Curtis kidnapped Jessica, brought her to his room, killed her and then raped her. He left the body in his room over night and the following day Curtis called Jessica's parents to tell them that he had killed their daugher. After making the phone call, Curtis went down to the RA desk, handed the keys to his RA and told him that he "left something in there for him." yes, disturbing.
anyways, i feel bad for whoever ends up in that room this fall. because the dorm is new, they won't replace anything (i guess besides the carpet maybe).
