If I wasn't a DG, I think I would be either an Alpha Chi Omega or a Zeta Tau Alpha! Both groups are filled with such classy girls! I have never met an AXO or a ZTA that wasn't wonderful!

If it weren't for Phi Mu...
On campus, I'd have to say Pi Phi or Theta -- most of the girls preffing us also preffed at one of those two.
Off campus, I think I'd want to go Tri Sigma, or maybe AOPi, or maybe Gamma Phi Beta, and ADPi, 'cause ya gotta have the Wesleyan love...

If my chapter wasn't there I would have created another one.

Here's the story...I went into formal recruitment wanting to go KD (all my friends were KD, so why would I go anywhere else???) As recruitment went along, I found myself bonding with the ADPi's (even though I still secretly hoped for KD). When KD dropped me after Theme night (a night I had to miss because I was taking an exam down at Ball State early the next morning when recruitment for that night ended at 11pm), I decided I wanted nothing but ADPi, and I'm so glad that I joined there. If I wasn't an ADPi, and wasn't a KD, I'd probably not be in a sorority now, since I didn't really connect with any of the other sororities there.
Also, it's a weird trend at my university....PNM's preffing ADPi are almost always preffing Tri-Delts or KD. All three chapters seem to be pretty similar to one another!!!(at least on my campus)

I preffed both Pi Phi and Alpha Xi, and had I not gone Pi Phi, I most likely would have gone Alpha Xi. However, many of my friends who were Alpha Xi's left the chapter later that semester because of internal conflicts, and I most likely would have left, too. I'm soooo glad I chose Pi Phi, though!
However, I grew up around Hope College, and when I was in high school and taking dual-enrollment classes there, I wanted nothing more than to be a Delta Phi ("delphi") at Hope.... They are a local sorority and they all seem so nice and classy!

During rush, my favorite houses were Chi-O, KD, Kappa, AOPi, and yes, ADPi. Actually before Rush I swore that I was going to be Chi-O or nothing at all...they're one of the top houses on campus, but not for just looks or money, but all-around, like grades, etc. That didn't exactly work out...but one of my coolest friends is Chi-O!

I would have probably gone Kappa or Phi Mu. My aunts were Kappa's and my best friend was a Phi Mu at the time. Or perhaps Theta or Pi Phi since they get tons of New Orleans girls here at Ole Miss. DG too would be a top choice.
Not at Ole Miss--I would have been interested in Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi, Theta Phi Alpha, and Chi Omega.

As per Merriam Webster:
Main Entry: gourd
Pronunciation: 'gOrd, 'gord, 'gurd
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English gourde, from Middle French, from Latin cucurbita
Date: 14th century
1 : any of a family (Cucurbitaceae, the gourd family) of chiefly herbaceous tendril-bearing vines including the cucumber, melon, squash, and pumpkin
2 : the fruit of a gourd : PEPO; especially : any of various hard-rinded inedible fruits of plants of two genera (Lagenaria and Cucurbita) often used for ornament or for vessels and utensils
- out of one's gourd also off one's gourd : CRAZY
So you have a vegetable growing out of your neck?
Interesting

i do believe she is talking about a growth that can occur in such areas as your neck. i might be wrong, but one of the causes of this is idodine decifiency. usually this is found in third world countries and not in the usa.
however, i think she may have just been joking. but if not, i do apologize.

I knew that, I'm just pointing out discrepancies and giving a definition. Even if it were true, its really not amusing.

If my sorority didn't exist, I would have gone to either another local or had given those NPC at my alma mater another chance.

For me I am a Lambda Chi at UC Riverside and I didnt like fraternities. I really enjoyed the rush tools they had. Be friends first and then the fraternity. That got me. Now most of my buddies are in the fraternity too
If my chapter didnt exist, prolly I would not be in Greek World
