I'm about 3/4 of the way into The Dive From Clausen's Pier and I'm not so sure I like it.
For some reason, whenever the book talks about Kilroy's character, I think of Tony DiMera (from Days of our Lives). I don't particiularly like Kilroy.. and I don't like how Carrie skipped out on Rooster's wedding! I was sooooo looking forward to reading a chapter of the back-home stuff.... but oh well.
I'm debating whether or not I want to finish this book.. hehehe. I think I will though.. just to see what happens at the end.

I just finished Shopgirl by Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin). It was cute, but it could have been a short story in the New Yorker. I can't believe he got a book deal out of it.

I just started Reading e. by Matthew Beaumont. He's an English author and this book is written entirely in emails. It takes place in an advertising agency who is trying to land a Coca-Cola account.
While I've just started, it's absolutely hilarious.

I just finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman for the 2nd time. Excellent book!
Now I'm reading Branded. Definitely recommended reading for our generation. It opened my eyes to a lot of things and made me really sad.

I got to see Alissa Quart (the author) speak for our program (she's an alum of my school). It was a great presentation! I'm ordering the book on amazon.com.
I just finished Naked by David Sedaris. Hilarious!

I just finished this book called "I Do, But I Don't" by Cara Lockwood. If you need a book to read in like a day or two that is REALLY funny, I highly recommend this!

Has anyone else read any of the "Shopaholic" series? I just finished the last one ("The Shopaholic gets Married" I think). Anyhow, it's wonderful mind candy!

I'm about 3/4 through e by Matt Beaumont and it is postively one of the most hilarious books I've read so far!
Does anyone else know of a book similiar to this one? (That is written in entirely emails, or letters, ... something other than regularly-written fiction)
Is anyone else still doing fun reading even though it's not summer any more?
I absolutely need to keep reading 'fun' stuff b/c I will go insane with just school books!
