-- but it's a poor indicator of where I stand. I tend to side with liberals/libertarians on social issues, while on fiscal issues, I stand a little to the right of Attila the Hun.

what does that mean? not being a smart ass, I just have never bothered to read up on the fiscal policies of Atilla.

Republican - more conservative on fiscal issues, more moderate/liberal on social issues (for example anti-death penalty, pro-choice).
