Mascot/Symbol Gifts

Okay, I checked the "owls" gift thread, and thought we should start one for ALL of us - not just Kappas and Chi Os! Anyone know of neat crescents? (Waxing of course, not waning!)

Thanks, AGDLynn! I've always got my eye out for squirrels - lots of cute stuffed ones, but I imagine you only need so many of those . . .

One of my fraternity's unofficial symbols is the Ape and I've been able to find nice toy gorillas from toy stores.

This is pretty neat for Tri Sigmas or even DGs (or any other sorority with "nautical" themes).

Dillard's has fleur-de-lis canisters
http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/s...90494&R=HKC053

They also carry a style, only at Dillards, that are smaller and the canisters are about $24-35, plus they have butter dishes, oil/vinegar, cream/sugar, plates and such with the the metal holders. The colors are Tuscan-style colors of red, yellow and green and cream. I've been watching since they opened a couple of months ago and haven't put them on sale so I'm biting the bullet in prep for our new house.

www.cross.com has some beautiful pens and leather goods. The leather goods come in blues that would work for KKG, ADPi,AXiD and a red/pink that would work for Phi Mu, ASA and Chi O, and a beautiful double brown that is perfect for my Gamma Phi sisters! They have pens in fabulous colours, too - what they call "red" includes some pink,so all you pink ladies give 'em a look. These would make great senior or initiation gifts - especially if you engrave them.

Century II Quasar pens - ice blue; ultra violet; infra red ballpoint
Pen case - ruby/petal pink;cobalt/aegean blue;ebony/carbon grey;dark/milk chocolate
Padfolio - ebony/carbon grey; dark/milk chocolate
Personal agenda - all of the above colours
checkbook wallet with pen - all of the above
jotter with pen - ebony/carbon grey;dark/milk chocolate
key ring pouch - all colours
personal agenda - cornflower blue;peony pink; brown;toffee;black

Yes, and I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know the difference between a waxing and waning moon. Is waxing ) or is it ( ?

Note: I'm a catalog/internet shopper. I've seen a TON of things!

It depends on whether it's gibbous or crecent. I believe that GPhiB uses the Waxing Crecent, which is ). Full explination here.
