HC for our MLK Day ON service organized by the United Way King County--which I attended--I get some bullisht email like this:

We received word from JK with the Children's Center at Burke
Gilman Gardens that only 3 people showed up for the MLK Day project
yesterday (this was the project that you were registered for, some of you to
bring a group with you). They went to a large expense and lots of time to
prepare for this project and then to have only 3 of 15 people that had
registered show up is unacceptable. Now Jennifer needs to explain to her
board why the work did not get done and some of the food/supplies when
unused. I will be calling all of you to get an explanation as to why you
were not at this project and see if you can personally call this agency to
apologize for your lack of presence there.

In the mean time, please respond to this e-mail and let me know exactly what
happened with your volunteer project.

HC it is unfortunate that not many people showed?
HC it is not your fault?
HC it is not the fault of the Team Leader?
HC it is the fault of the individuals that chose nto to show up?
HC if we can not MAKE people show up to chapter meeting, and other important things we CAN NOT make them do anything else?
HC if she wrties you again tell her you CAN NOT make the other people show up?
HC I do not think your e-mail was 'threatening', but it may not have helped the situation?
HC GOOD JOB TO THOSE THAT SHOWED UP!!!

HC my mom was hustling to sell ads for her for the souviner (sp) book?
HC she was able to raise a good bit of money?
HC the debutant ball is not until next month?
HC I was off from both of my jobs today?
HC I slept most of the day?
HC after this, I will wash clothes and put them up?

HC I'll be happy when all of this is over?

our chapter had it's Cotillion Saturday night as well?
it's the first one since Katrina?
speaking of Katrina, we will be worshipping in our church for the 1st time since the Sunday before Katrina on SUNDAY?
YAYAYYYYYYYYY?
2.5 years away from the Ave has been too long? too many delays? too many setbacks?
we've prayed and we've fasted?
NOW it's going to be a reality on Sunday?
Yesterday, our pastor presented the church that allowed us to use their facility for 2.5 years for services, bible study, etc. etc with a check for $100,000?
no dollar amount can be put on what that congregation did for us?

Back to the Cotillion?
My niece now wants to make her debut?
she had her Sweet 16 affair, so we thought that was it?
She opted for the S16 instead of making her Debut?
her cousin was the Queen for her father's hometown DST chapter cotillion a few weeks ago?
now, she wants that too?
good luck to my sister and her hubby? (smile)
I put my $$$ into the Sweet 16?
this is the same thing my mother said....(lol)
I was looking on to her Senior Year?
