Ay ay AY!
I suppose now that I’ve officially had a death threat I can let you all in on who my new chapter is! I honestly didn’t mean to keep you all waiting this long (haha, really, I swear!) but with all of the bid day madness and classes today, this is the first time I’ve been able to sit down at a computer for more than five minutes. So here we go!
So as you know, I ranked my groups after preference in the order:
St. Lucia, Bahamas, Miami… all of which I had great times at and would enjoy a place in, so going into bid day, I already felt lucky. Unlike most of the other girls in my Pi Chi group, I wasn’t nervous—just excited.
So…
When I opened up my envelope and saw that I’d be going to the beautiful…
BAHAMAS
I was ecstatic to see that I was a
brand…
new….
(member of….)
ALPHA DELTA PI!!!!!!!
At which point everyone headed out to the HUB lawn where, though it was nearly dark out, hundreds of sorority women were holding their chapters’ banners and giant letters for us to run to. I know that ADPi distributed 27 bids and is now at total, so I’m assuming that quota was somewhere right around there. Even though I didn’t get my “first choice”, I’m super excited to start learning names and getting to know my new sisters because I know I ended up where I did for a reason.
Before I tell you which group is which, I just want to mention again that I saw something great in every sorority I visited over the past two weeks. I felt as though I meshed better with some sororities than others, but regardless, you can all rest assured that your sisters here at PSU are representing your organizations very well. I say this because reading over some of my notes from the earlier rounds, it might seem like I wasn’t a huge fan of some of the groups, but honestly, even my “least favorite” sororities or places I didn’t feel connections at were a lot of fun.

See you around GC
