Speaking of yucky 80s stuff...I work at an advertising agency, working on an account that produces weekly flyers for a major chain of stores. I saw an outfit on a little girl that caused bad 80s flashbacks....the model was wearing a matching top and LEGGINGS (pink and white to the point that they looked like pajamas) and a JEAN SKIRT. I can't believe the outfit ended up in the flyer. What kind of parent would even buy that?!

Someone for whom the 90s and new millennium never arrived.
For real, that sounds so 80s, that I started humming the guitar intro of "Beat It".
"is a child of the 80s"

Fun fact: my friend saw a shirt (for females) in some mall store that said "it's not easy being easy."
.....?

WOW...just wow.
Maybe that girl is suffering from varicose veins (I heard they're common in pregnancy, but I never got them) and those are really support hose???
I also hate how in maternity mags, their models are like 3 months pregnant. How the hell does that help someone pick out clothes for when it looks like they shoved a prize winning watermelon in their pants?? Things don't fit the same when your 3 months pregnant as when you're 9 months pregnant...and I went to work right up until the day before I delievered, so it's not like I could hide all day in pjs.

Exhibit A:
It's modeled on a doll because no self-respecting model would put it on. And
Exhibit B:
This is a popular style where I live, but only in the September/ Oktober timeframe. Everything's cuter with beer goggles on, right? No, all the liters in Germany couldn't help this outfit.

A guy who wears Lederhosen would probably find those outfits incredibly sexy.

Carnation... somehow I doubt that you have those things in your wardrobe! You let your tummy hang out and don't wear a bra? You wear clothes with "bitch" written on it? I kinda doubt it!
Although I agree with much of the advice on this thread, most of it applies to those in their 30's, 40', 50's and beyond.
You can be stylish at any age.

THEY ARE NOT OK.

Re Crocs, the first place I saw them was in hospitals on the staff. I've got no problem with that, as they are supposed to be super comfy and those people are on their feet all day (and they do kinda go w/ the scrubs). But if you drive to work and proceed to sit at a desk all day, you do not need Crocs. I feel the same way about men wearing turtlenecks who aren't skiing - especially since most of them seem to have a ton o' chins.
Jumpers are not OK. Unless you're in a Barely Legal porno movie and they're mini-jumpers.
As heinous as some of the 80's flashback stuff is, I'd STILL take it over the layers of flannel shirts and knit caps or the all black "look at me, I'm a monk" look from the 90's any day.
