I think I have set a record for the number of times that I've watched the season premiere episode. This has got to be THE best show on television!! I can't get enough. With this and Everybody Hates Chris, Monday nights are my new favorite.

With having digital cable I have what they call an "info" button that let's you read what the show you are about to watch is about...well I saw that Run's House was on early this afternoon, and something said look to see what it's about. I was thinking it was reruns of the previous shows, well it turned out to be I new shows for the rest of the season...they were calling it a "sneak peek". Well if you missed it earlier, it's being shown again starting at 9pm. It was 4 new ep's which I think ended with the season finale show.

I saw a few of the episodes, but I didn't think that it was the entire season. I hope not because I saw about three of the episodes (maybe all four) and I will be sad when it ends. However, I don't remember seeing the episode where Russy tries to have a garage sale or where Angela and Vanessa want to start a shoe line during the sneak peek, so I think there will be more episodes beyond what they showed today.

I really love this show because the family is more "real" to me. Its not about all the material stuff, they actually do care about each other it seems!!

That was the first one of the sneak preview ep's that they showed

Has anyone else noticed how many product endorsements are in this show?
Was this always the case? Maybe I'm just now starting to notice.

Hearing about the Rush pre-pay debit card, Angela/Vanessa's "Pastry" shoes, Justine's "Brown Sugar" diamonds and children's book, I'm starting to feel like I'm being solicited. I still enjoy the show, but...

I felt the same way, but then after careful thinking I realized that the Simmons family are just business-minded people. They are also helping their children to position themselves in the business world.

Most of the stuff I had heard of even before the show started airing. And since we are in on their day-to-day lives, we have to be a part of the business side of things, which does make it seem like one long PhatFarmBabyPhatBrownSugarPastryRunAthleticsRushCa rd advertisement.

I'm not phased because while I love the family and the show, I'm not rushing out to buy any of that stuff anyway.

I have to admit that although it was funny to see Russy "hiding" everybody's things, the mental health professional in me wondered if they are getting grief counseling for the children. It also appeared as if Justine is having difficulty as well, hince her apprehension in letting Jo Jo baby sit. I will continue to pray for their strength.

I like it when Justine asserts herself.
In Rev. Run's effort to be super-hubby/dad, it sometimes appears (to me) that he runs a little roughshod over her feelings.

What I really like about this family is that you see that they really love each other and they're not hesitant nor afraid to express it.
