The Lakers woke up yesterday and slap the Spurs around. Tim Duncan was a non-factor scoring only 10 points and Tony Parker couldn't do anything. New Jersey came out on fire and wallop the Pistons big time. It was a good day for Home Court Advantage on Mother's Day.

Well, what we saw in the Lakers/Spurs game was an aroused, engaged "Sugar" Shaq Diesel, which is something I want to see every game.

The 350-pound-plus Daddy was hustling, making his high percentage shots, blocking Spur shots, and playing intimidating defense.

I'm not willing to say that the Lakers are back in the series unless they win Game 4. And that excellent effort I saw yesterday needs to translate to the SBC Center.

I never saw Shaq hustle so much. I guess the "Kryptonite" was removed and He went back to being Superman.

Phil Jackson was right when he said that the Lakers are not out of the wood yet. the pressure is still on them.

true...but that was a foul on Peja at the very end that wasn't called....and the T-wolves blew a 15 point lead in the last minutes of the game to GO to overtime.

Doesn't look like it's just a Kings problem now, does it

Looking forward to tomorrow night, and see what adjustments the Kings will have made

Shut your mouth and know your role Twolves own Arco, they might as well give us the keys to the joint.

The Wolves are too much for the Kings to handle

I don't know....it came pretty close last night to the Twolves being the ones down a game in the series. It ain't over until "the fat lady sings", and I haven't heard her start to warm up yet...

Thumbs up Lakers-Spurs game 4

Exhausted Kobester, albeit with 42 points.
Inspired Diesel, with 28 points, 14 boards and three blocks.

Equals victory, but they had me sweating in the first half. I think my blood pressure went way up.

I'm still wary. San Antonio is a great team and will give the Lakers all they have and more.

To defeat San Antonio, the Lakers have got to have the pressuring defense, swarming, etc., and translate it to the SBC Center. That's what worries me about not having the home court.

Would you like to rephrase?

That was an *amazing* game, and now it's a best of three series....I wonder who'll take it

Thumbs up Nice but not done just yet

Yes, I have a tight little smile on my face this morning. The Lakers showed they can throw the switch on and win four straight (helped, of course, by Derek Fisher and a timely shot).

But there are still eight wins left to go before a new championship trophy can be hoisted. I'm pleased that the Lakers closed the Spurs out in six games for rest purposes. And I have no preference whether the Lakers play the Kings or the Timberwolves (although I think they can steal a game at the Target Center).

Also, I don't want to see the Lakers come back from another 2-0. The West is too good a conference.

Shaq didn't score as much as I like to see him do so, but he provided great board work, blocked shots and caused some altering of shots. Other than TD, no Spur starter stepped it up.
