Having big ole feet and shallow pockets, I pretty much have to shop at payless. They have come up, but some stuff is VERY ULTRA trendy, borderline OOGLY. BUT, I just got some shoes, very cute and kinda that timberland texture, and I found a little purse that matched perfectly. A matching outfit, and I'm workin it out!!

They're good for some throw around shoes and simple dress shoes. OH and its a MUST for kid shoes. My daughter is in a size 10-10 1/2 and she's only 2 and 1/2 so they and wal-mart are my kiddie shoe friends.

HC I was like @ this statement, and then I realized that you meant kids sizes (which I know nothing about anyway). I was like, OH...Okay!

Mary J - Her Man Saved Her Life

Mary J. Blige tells The Mirror that her life has often resembled a car crash. "I was an absolute cokehead and an alcoholic," she admitted. "I was touring and drinking a whole lot and just doing whatever the hell I wanted to do. I was doing men like they do us, using them like whatever you know they use us for. It got to a point where I got an ulcer. But no matter how much physical pain I was in, that didn't stop me drinking. I went through times when I hated myself and I wanted to kill myself. I almost wasn't here to tell the story." That all changed thanks to boyfriend Kendu Isaacs.

Well...a friend who knows Kendu's ex wife says that he started messing with Mary while still married. The ex HATES MJB and feels that she is the homewrecker who broke up her marriage. To this circle of friends, MJB may think he is great, they think he is a cheating dog.

Do you wnat to dress like Beyonce? Here's your chance

Beyonce's Designer Destiny
Tue Oct 7, 5:15 PM ET

By Lia Haberman

Coming soon to a mall near you: Beyonc Knowles-inspired fashions. Booty not included.

The Independent Woman announced plans to add designer to her list of credits in Monday's edition of Women's Wear Daily, saying she will launch two collections next year. Knowles' mother, Tina, will act as her design collaborator. Mama Knowles is also Beyonc's stylist and author of Destiny's Style: Bootylicious Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Secrets From Destiny's Child.

The first sets of threads will be more "funky and hip-hop" and run toward T-shirts and jeans, while the other line will feature swankier dresses and separates, the two told WWD. "We want to bring some of the couture look to a broader public," said Knowles, who also serves as Pepsi's pitchwoman.

"People my age love fashion and want to dress in designer clothes, but can't afford it. I want to do something that is affordable, but sophisticated and sexy and feminine--something I would wear," the 22-year-old told WWD.

Beyonc, with mom in tow, was a front-row fixture at New York and Milan's Fashion Weeks. She was joined this past weekend by fellow diva Mariah Carey at the Versace spring 2004 show where they hobnobbed with designer Donatella Versace.

And she's not the only fashion-minded musician moonlighting on the side. Making the move from recording studio to designer's easel has been a rite of passage for rock's young royalty.

Russell Simmons did it first with his thriving line, Phat Farm. P. Diddy's also made a successful transition from music to fashion with his Sean John line, which has earned him several nods from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Other include Jay-Z with Roc-A-Wear and Jennifer Lopez, with J.Lo. Hot on their cotton blends is Latin star Thalia, who'll launch a line at K-Mart, while Eminem (news - web sites), Gwen Stefani (news) and Eve, all have collections scheduled for 2004.

Beyonce: I Love Gay People
Fri Oct 24,12:00 AM ET

By Sarah Hall

Beyonc Knowles better watch her mouth.

The Dangerously in Love popster claims she was burned by Britain's Sun tabloid, saying she was misquoted in a manner "unbelievable" to her.

In an interview published on October 15, Knowles reportedly commented on Britney Spears and Madonna's onstage lip-lock at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, decrying the girl-on-girl smooch as something she would never do, given her close and personal relationship with God.

"I have standards. There are things I will not do," the devoutly Christian singer was quoted as saying.

"I couldn't do what Britney and Madonna (news - web sites) did at the MTV Awards. I knew it was going to happen from rehearsals, but it was still a shock when they did it."

On Thursday, Beyonc got busy backsliding.

In a televised statement, the bootylicious chanteuse claimed ignorance to the origins of the remarks.

"I was absolutely misquoted, I never said anything close to the statement, [and] it really, really hurts me that people are saying that said anything like that," Knowles said.

The Pepsi pusher went on to profess her love for her gay fans via a statement on her Website.

"I have never judged anyone based on his or her sexual orientation and have no intention of starting now," Knowles said. "I have a lot of gay and lesbian fans and I love them no differently than my straight fans."

It's been a busy fall for Beyonc. On October 14, Miami-based producer Terence "T-Robb" Robinson filed a $200 million suit against the singer, her father and fellow Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland (news) and Michelle Williams (news), claiming they stole his music for use in the 2001 hit single "Survivor."

Earlier in the month, Knowles announced her plan to launch her own fashion line, with her mother and stylist, Tina Knowles, acting as design collaborator. She expects to put out two collections in 2004, one "funky and hip-hop," and one for the swankier set.

Talking PUFFY FINISHED!!

'P. Diddy' Runs New York Marathon
57 minutes ago Add Entertainment - AP to My Yahoo!

By ERIN McCLAM, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - After 26.2 miles, maybe his new nickname should be Tough Daddy. Running on a bum right knee and just two months of training, hip-hop entrepreneur Sean "P. Diddy" Combs completed the New York City Marathon on Sunday in 4 hours, 14 minutes.

The producer-rapper, formerly known as Puff Daddy (news - web sites) and Puffy, decided in September he would run his first marathon in a bid to raise $1 million for children.

As he crossed the finish line in Central Park, Combs raised his arms in triumph. He took a few more steps, then leaned over to catch his breath. Bags of ice were placed on his neck.

Combs — known on the course simply as No. 30,792 — kept a respectable pace of an eight- to nine-minute miles for much of the race. He ran in sunglasses, his hair in a closely cropped mohawk and a breathing strip across his nose. He was accompanied by police officers and at least one of his employees.

"I feel great. I feel strong," Combs told NBC Sports during the race's first hour. "We're right on pace. I'm not going to go out too hard. I'm going to finish strong."

He ran into trouble as the race went on, troubled by cramps that caused him to walk a few steps, as well as by fans closing around him.

Combs planned to divide the money he raised among two children's advocate groups and the city public school system. He dubbed the effort, "Diddy Runs the City."

Among his donors: Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who pitched in $10,000; rapper Jay-Z, who gave $25,000; and gossip-column regulars Ben Affleck (news) and Jennifer Lopez (news), who gave a combined $78,000.

Combs cut himself a difficult challenge by deciding eight weeks ago to enter the race. He shed about 15 pounds in training and developed severe tendinitis in his right knee.

"It's going to be rough," he said before the race. "But if we get through it, it's telling those kids and everybody else to finish what you start, and you can do anything you put your mind to."

Others in the field of more than 30,000 entrants were running for their own reasons, or to make their own statements.

A delegation of seven disabled police officers and soldiers from Colombia, most of them wounded in combat, were running the race together.

A 92-year-old man, Fauja Singh, was trying to break his own record for 90-and-over marathoners of 5 hours, 40 minutes, 44 seconds. Singh was running as a guest of a Sikh community in Queens, hoping to raise awareness of the faith.

The mayor stayed out of the race but cheered runners from the starting line.

"It's what makes America great," he said. "We have our young men and women around the world fighting to protect freedom and tragically dying, and this is a way in some sense to say, `This is what we're fighting for.'"

Question Coach Deion Sanders?

washingtonpost.com
Deion Says He's Prime for Coaching

Monday, November 3, 2003; Page D10

Prime Time could be returning to Atlanta.

Deion Sanders told ESPN.com Saturday night that he would like to sit down with Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank and discuss a return to the NFL as the Falcons' next head coach. Sanders told the Web site that he has been considering the possibility of coaching for some time.

"I can make them a better team, and I know that, because I know the things that really need to be done there," Sanders told ESPN. "I put so much time into preparing every week for my Sunday job [as a studio analyst on "The NFL Today" for CBS], watching tape and talking to players and coaches, that I still live football. It's still a big part of me. I talk to head coaches and assistants, guys with whom I'm close, every week. I know what the job involves, believe me, and I know I can do it."

Blank could not be reached to comment, but he has steadfastly supported current head coach Dan Reeves. . . .

Way Cleared for Bronx Rapper's Release
Mon Nov 3,10:56 PM ET

By LARRY NEUMEISTER, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - A judge has cleared the way for the release of rapper Ricky "Slick Rick" Walters, ruling the government erred in imprisoning him in an immigration case.

Federal Judge Kimba Wood said the Board of Immigration Appeals should never have reversed its earlier decision that the British-born rapper is a legal U.S. resident. Walters has been jailed 17 months in Bradenton, Fla.

It was unclear just when the Hip-Hop Hall of Famer would be freed. A spokesman for U.S. Attorney James B. Comey said the civil arm of the prosecutor's office could not immediately comment on the case.

"I honestly expected him released today. Right now, I would hope it can happen tomorrow," the rapper's attorney, Alex Solomiany, said Monday.

He added that Walters, 38, was "very happy and looking forward to getting released."

The judge's decision was sent to lawyers in the case Friday and recorded in Manhattan federal court on Monday.

U.S. immigration authorities tried to deport Walters using a 1996 law permitting deportation of foreigners convicted of felonies involving violence. Walters was born in London; his family moved to the Bronx when he was 11.

Walters served five years in the 1990s for attempted murder after he shot his cousin and a bystander, saying the cousin had extorted money and threatened to kill his family.

The immigration board reversed itself after agreeing that the government had new evidence and that the case should be reopened. In her decision, Wood said the evidence was actually old.

The rapper was detained in June 2002 as he returned to Florida after a weeklong gig aboard a cruise ship. Only after the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001, and the subsequent crackdown on aliens was Walters detained, noted his publicist, Bill Adler.

As the months have passed with Walters in prison, supporters including comedian Chris Rock (news), actor Will Smith (news) and the Rev. Jesse Jackson (news - web sites) have become more outspoken.

Adler said Walters will return to the Bronx, where he owns a pair of apartment buildings and lives with his wife and two children, to continue a career that includes his solo platinum album, "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick."

Ja Rule and 50

Did anyone hear the interview with Ja Rule and Farrakahn?

They played it WPGC here last night. They then cut to an interview with 50 in ATL. The whole thing sounds like one big rediculous mess!!! The most interesting comment to me came from a yong lady who called in after begging them to squash it. She said that people want to pretend that it is just media or entertainment but what they say and do has an impact on her peers. She said it is to the point wher kids get into arguements and fights defending these punks. I was like wtf??? But she said that it takes on a life of its own out in the world and that they need to learn from biggie and 2pac and get it together.

On another note, in the 50 interview he said he and Vivica were done. He has not talked to her in weeks that she was getting bad advice from her people about how to carry it and they were sending her in a direction that wasn't a good look for her. I guess even though he is a p.i.m.p. he did not like her looking like a h.o. either.
