Haha, I forgot... I ment to do it once but Amanda's computer wasnt letting me!

Well ladies... I got a job!

I teach in Prince William County VA!

I moved in with Amanda, a fellow Gamma Gamma. She and I lived a house and an alley apart our last year in Clarion. Shes been trying to get me to VA for two years!

I also am going to be teaching with her at the school she is in... it is a great school! I teach kindergarten in the AM and I will be assisting a 4th grade teacher with her class in the afternoon. The school never has teacher openings, so its luck(aka Amanda!) that I got in! Her principal was the person getting me a ton of interviews in VA in July! Hes now my principal!

Thats my news!

Outstanding Alum Chapter of Year - So. LA County

HI All,

I received a call yesterday from Nicole, Director of Programming. The Southern Los Angeles County Alumnae Chapter (So. LA) was chosen as the Outstanding Alumnae Chapter of the Year!!!! That made my weekend for me.

Plus, I received Honorable Mention for an Individual Alumnae Panhellenic Award. Finally, I was chosen as the Outstanding Alumnae Chapter Archon of the Year.

I love Phi Sigma Sigma and my chapter and alumnae chapter sisters!

Car!

Hey all!

Im sure most of you know me as the "Car Slayer" haha... I had (and still own) an AWESOME 1994 GMC Jimmy that got me through college. It was the sorority mobile. The ball joint broke and my tire almost came off as I was crossing the Highland Park Bridge here in Pgh, a very very tall bridge and very busy. Then Jimmy's tranny died on the way to my friends house (45 min away) and we got a new one, but then the cost of inspecting it when the time came around, wasnt worth it.

My cousin then sold me a 1996 Cavilier. It was a great car until the fuel pump died on the same bridge... and I was stuck in the middle, no room to pull off, cars wizzing past. The police couldnt figure out who would come get me, Pgh or OHara Twp. Then the tranny died in the Cav. We got a new one and it was all great. Then as soon as I move in VA - the car dies. The brakes went...

We could have paid to get them fixed and have something go down the road... or...

Get a new one!

I am now an owner of the cars mentioned above... and

A Suzuki XL7! Its a 2004 and its black and GOREGOUS!

Im so happy!

<3Alison

update on the job front:

unfortunately the personal assistant job didn't work out... the worst part is that i didn't even get to work!! the other woman assigned as an assistant - it was a two person deal - was fired, subsequently the woman i was going to work for ended up letting both of us go!

maybe it's for the best though...

BUT the good news is that i have a interview lined up this friday for a position in the field that i actually want to pursue as a career. so let's keep our fingers crossed that something good comes from that!

Smile

I know that the words MIA probably apply more than ever... but I had to share...

My beautiful little boy is here. Both momma and daddy are still exhaused and recovering. I ended up spending 12 hours dialated to 3 cm, getting a fever, and having a c-section. The whole story is on Joey's website: http://joey.coreyanddavid.com
