Ok I finally d/led Accidents will Happen Part 1 and it was so good. Why the hell would they NOT air that in the US? I didn't see anything that bad with it. I started to watch Part 2 but the damn d/l wasn't working well with my player.

I don't think it was that there was anything bad, but that they were concerned that it would encourage kids to have abortions.

Then they aren't going to be showing two upcoming episodes this season. It deals with another major issue....

Degrassi Summary
Ummmm where do I start....
First two episodes of season four, Paige was dealing with the rape trial, and she ended up losing because there was no evidence anymore. She was really starting to feel down about herself saying that everyone knows she's easy now....then she, Spinner, Jimmy and Hazel went to a party at Dillan's. She starts acting a mess, leaves the party, then.....
Paige figures out where the rapist is (don't remember his name) which is at a frat house. She announces to everyone at the frat party that he's a rapist. He makes her leave, and then Paige takes Spinners car and rams into his. Which was the best part......
If I left anything out please let me know....

what is that one supposed to be about?
i feel like there's nothing wrong with showing these episodes
i saw Accidents Will Happen, Part 1 and 2 and believe me, I feel like it was handled in a very well mannered way. With Manny and Craig, they weighed the options, they even played "parents" one afternoon and they decided it wasn't for them. Manny didn't hide the pregnancy behind her mother's back.....she stood up for herself and admitted to possibly making a mistake. it was a lesson learned
i think a lot of kids could relate to that. i know people in high school who had abortions and i cant imagine what its like to go through that. maybe seeing the show will help them to say: "hey its okay that i made this decision." there's nothing wrong with being informed and i feel like the American public is severely misinformed when it comes to hearing certain things....the whole story, especially when it comes to stuff like abortion.

I've been watching Degrassi this season - really enjoying it.... the last three episodes have been amazing. I'd talk about them but I don't want to ruin it for y'all.

Again? Come on, whatever happened to freedom of choice in this country? Degrassi has a long tradition of showing controversial subjects fairly, not glamorizing things like teen pregnancy or drugs, etc...
I'm saying this as a mom of a teenager who watches Degrassi religiously, too. I'd rather he watch Degrassi any day of the week, even if they're talking about abortion or death or drugs or obsessive relationships (one of the best storylines I've seen yet).

I know. That's why I'm so addicted. It doesn't show kids as these perfect beings that party, shop, and worry about getting boyfriends all the time. The episodes are called Time Stands Still, parts one and two. It deals with violence in the school....and that's all I can say cause I don't want to ruin it. It's REALLY deep though (enough to make you shed a tear or two), so if anyone wants to know about it pm me.

From the previews, it looks like the "second" half of the season should be good.

Time Stands Still WILL be shown!!! If you go to the-n.com and look under show times, it's there.
I can't wait to see a better picture of it. I hope they don't edit things out!!!
